Opium lettuce / Lactucarium

Hi all ,
I would like to know if some of yours has already used this plant ? Well , I'm living in the South of France (where there 's a lot of wine :-( ) , and the genus Lactuca grows absolutely everywhere !!! It would be really easy to have several pounds of plants ...I've heard that an extraction would be more suitable : which solvent should I use ? Alcohol ?Aceton ?
I've already read that the effects are really 'light"...I'm sure that all the old "junkheads" ( this not a negative word for me !) won't feel anything at all, but maybe a "opio-baby" like myself could have some satisfaction ? Need your advice , your experience ..Thanx.

Well, yes and no, I once bought a herbal joint containing Lactuca virosa, smoked it and achieved no effect other than a throat burn. I've also got some caps with 800 mg of plant material per cap. Downed ten and didn't achieve any euphoria or abstinence relief, I got some nasty chest pain however that went away in half an hour. I can't really say I've experimented with it since I think you should go around using it fresh in the way of ordinary opium. It's called "poisonous lettuce" over here.

^yea, I don't recommend the stuff, I smoked the extract and got some nasty chest pain as well, it took about an hour to quit hurting. This stuff gives no high, as I was an opio-virgin when I tried it.
