Question about a med !

A friend was asking me if there is any recreational value of the medication Pro Meth Codiene syrup.....it is a 4 1/2 ounce bottle.
I have used the search option and came up empty handed. sooooo is it any good recreationally and what would the bottle be worth $ wise?

Check the mg. and let us know, if you want to know the science of it. But as far as I'm concerned anything with opiates in it has some potential. I'd have some pepto pills to take just before, in case the nausea sets in, ken?

I think she is referring to Codiene Phosphate with Promethazine HCL syrup. I believe the mg on that would be something like 10mg Codiene/6.25mg Promethazine per 5 ml. You can probably take upto 50 mg of Promethazine without getting sick or doing any harm... I know that it is marketed alone as a syrup in a 25mg/5ml dose. It's the bottom of the barrel but you should be able to abuse it.

Do you have Prometh VC with Codeine Phosphate Cough Syrup. I could be wrong but i do not think there is any promethazine in it you have phenylephrine. As i said most likely the syrup you have is mixed with phenylephrine which is usually used as a decongestant. Most likely your not going to get off to much on it because of the weakness of codeine in small amounts. As History of Madness said "what is the mg" we really need to know this shit to help you out. You really want to know whats in the mix with your opiates. What is the MG, what is the Ratio of shit versus codeine, etc, etc, etc. provided below is a brief synopsis of what your also taking with the goodies just so you know what your putting in your body. When it comes to price i wouldnt pay to much...i mean depending on your tolerance and a few other factors it might be worth it for you. If you provide more info there are tons of smart people here that could help you out.

The brand name of this medication is Phenergan w/ Codiene made by Wyeth-Ayerst (I believe) but there is also alot of generic Prometh/Codiene syrups out there too. Because she is referring to the syrup as "Prometh" I am nearly 100% possitive that that is what she is talking about because that is a common abbriviated term for Promethazine. As for what mg it is, I could be wrong on this, but I believe it is only available in one mg/ml dosage... the one I listed above.

IT DOES contain promethazine..that I did find out by looking around on the net. as far as what its worth ...cuz ya know this person that has said med. said 'umm what will you give me for it?' LMAO dontcha just hate it when a person wont be specific with $$ cuz I guess they are scared they might get more/less (omg i have done that a time or two myself..lol)

I gotta question for ya ! I hear you mention that promethazine causes rls ....well I am scripted phenerghan in suppository and pill form ...as much and as many as I need for nausea....I suffered very severelly last week with rls after giong forever not having had it in awhile..forgot how painful and just down right pain in the ass it is !! I thought it was just part of my going through wd's as I was on day 2 off my norco habit (not by choice) but the rls always kicks my ass when I am trying to cut tolerance down !! I always have thought phenerghan would help me sleep during wd's and nausea that wd also brings !! I am interested in learning more about what causes RLS esp if associated with phenerghan!

Any more info would be greatly appreciated ! :D

Extrapyramidal symptoms; Restless Leg Syndrome can happen with higher doses of Phenergan(promethazine)
Or it can happen after a reduction in a higher dose.

This can happen with any antihistamine you take, when taking a higher dose, excitability or restlessness is a symptom of increased doses with this type of medication.

Turns out said guy with this med i was asking about wanted at least 100 bucks for a 4 ounce bottle !! he said each tsp is worth at least 5 bucks....i walked away laughing my ass off !! :rolleyes:

Maybe if I were an infant it would take off after 1 tsp but with my tolerance im sure id have to drink the entire bottle and perphaps add some opiates to it !

its a damn shame that a person cant go into a pharmarcy and at least talk to the pharmacist about a legit matter and get a script...i heard in mex. they can do this but not sure if thats correct since just a buddy of mine told me and i have no clue where she heard it.

swim just got a script for 30 vics which would cost swim over 120 bucks had it not been his script....shesh pisses me off every time i think about the $$ part of it all.

It came down to a matter of when not if and at the same time I was taking advantage of decent people who just wanted to get high (but were too scared to cop for themselves and had too much money to care what I charged them.) So I cut out of that environment- actually the culmunation of many circumstances in my life- and when I set up shop again I had a different philosophy. I approached everyone with warm scepticism and preempmtive generosity. I met a lot of great people who now look out for me, together we dissapate the risk anyone has to go through for us to all be mostly happy most of the time. I also weeded out a few bad apples that took advantage of my new attitude. So far in my experience these folks make their ways apparent very quickly. in the face of an open hand they grab what's in it. the trick is to only have in your hand what you are willing to lose in order to find out if this person can be trusted. And i guess i am hoping that the positive returns recieved from the folks that have a similar code will far outweigh these losses in the long run.

So that's how you turn one word, like karma, into a 150 word essay. It's my first post after a bunch of lurking and I wanted it to be ridiculously long and preachy.

Feel free to take it for a little less than what it's worth- I wouldn't wanna rip you off.

Ok I'm not sure if this is going to be helpful to you or not but from my honest point of veiw I used to have it prescibed in the big 12 or 16 oz bottles and I would have to drink an awful lot of it to get any type of buzz from it.
As far as paing for a 4 and a half ounce bottle.At the stage of my addiction it would be worthless to me but to someone who has a low tolerance and enjoys codiene.I'd say they may pay 5-7 bucks for a bottle that size not anymore then that but of course it depends on how much the person likes codiene.I used to love codiene,but now that have gotten my hands on bigger things (which I wish I never would have),that would not do anything for me.
Back in the day I would have took 2 or 3 huge tablespoons and it would give me a warm fuzzy feeling in my tummy,and I really enjoyed it.I enjoyed it so much that my DR eventually noticed and just gave me the plain Promethezine(sp?) and then I just stopped getting it cause it was useless to me without the codiene in it.
