ass bleeding....WTF!!!?

yep i know that's TMI but it just freaked me out. I took a shit and wiped my ass then blood was on the toilet paper. I looked in the toilet and my turd had blood on it too. It didn't look like there was blood IN it....just on the outside of it.

What could/does this mean?

OK thanks for the fast response. That makes me feel a little better. I've actually been healthier the past week(eating better, only taking 4-6mg's of sub a day, smoking less, etc..).

That was my second shit of the day, but it was still hard as a rock so maybe it is just constipation like you said. I thought shitting blood was a sign of liver damage....is it not?

Your right it CAN be. But I and others, have EXACTLY what you describe. The blood ON the turd and paper is just from it being rock hard ans scraping up your insides a bit. It's a bit painful but no serious damage. I just try to keep it soft so that doesn't happen. If you ever have abdominal pain, its usually a rock hard BM going through your insides which is what causes the blood. It hurts but it's not serious. and the blood on the paper is just from trying to pass to big/hard a BM through your butt. It's not nice to talk about but an all too real reality for us.

Not to my knowledge-clay like stools can mean hep,but I'm not aware of a link between bloody stools and liver disease.Dysentry is another story!!

We have a creme here called Hirudoid (for bruising) and many of use use it to help repair/soften old and new injection sites. Anyway, I asked for some recently and the guy behind the pharmacy's counter discretly pulled me aside, looked at me with sympathy and actually gave me Hemroid medication. :D

Well, I thought it was amusing anyway ... btw, I have never had this happen to me. A friend of mine takes a very high dose of Methadone daily yet doesn't suffer any constipation. I guess we're all different.

I had this happen, quite a few times. 1st time there was a far amount of fresh blood on turd and paper. It stung a bit too.
Yeah it scared me too, first time.

I went to the GP, and yes, gloves on... you know the story...

I'd caused an anal fissure passing such an impacted(compacted?) dome, in other words, Id split in my ring...easily sorted, rx'd laxatives and "rectogesic" (glyceryl trinitate 0.4%w/w, rectal ointment) applied twice a day, and after every "stool movement".
Problem with rectogesic tho is it's a nitrate, which meant: application and quick run to the bedroom where I'd lie down for 20 mins while a pounding headache hit home, and it happens in minutes and goes in 15-20min, just like poppers with no rush, just the pounding head. Works quick tho. It took two-three days and then just carry on with lax for a couple of weeks.

But, if you have piles, lax can make 'em worse. Both the runs and the rocks give you piles.
Weather its piles or a fissure, you need to know, 'cos fissures keep opening with every sh*t, and possibly (maybe probably) eventual infection, and piles don't just go away, Anusol is the treatment for piles here (my most favourite named med). Get them early and they sort out really quick.
Go to your GP if this aint ever happened to you before, piles are a pain in the arse, but fissures, they're best treated properly. Piles normally hurt (eventually cant sit or walk normal and really hurt) or itch, maybe some specks of blood before you get the sorta blood your getting.Whatever it is you dont want grape piles hanging out your arse or a fissure infection.
although a lot of people get away with doing nothing, but the sudden appearance of blood sounds like fissure.

The worse thing about going to a GP is the embarrassment for you, it don't hurt. But if it bothers you, just remember he's the one whos gotta stick his finger up "some junkies arse", think of it as vengeance for all the meds he wont give you.

It aint serious illness, unless your sh*tting blood, as just said, but don't just ignore and hope, because it can become more serious.
We've NHS here, so a doc is no cost, so if money 's an issue go see your pharmacist at least. Its not really an A&E case, but don't just "sit on it"

No big deal man, it used to happen to me ALL the time when I had a habit and would be constantly plugged up.

It's simply that your terdz are too hard and big and they cut your asshole when you shit. It's very unlikely that you are hemorrhaging and it's coming from inside you. If your butthole stings after you poop or get fucked in the ass (fag) it's likely just small little cuts on your asshole. Stop taking it in the ass so much and it should get better.

I found that petroleum jelly smeared all over my asshole after a bloody butthole helped to keep the healing skin moist and not dry out, only to be broken open the next time I had to shit gravel.
