Recieved three pills last night from my dude fronted to me as Roxycodone 30's. I've gotten them from him before and I could've sworn they were little green pills and the ones I got were blue. So when I got home I called poison control and identified the markings "54199". She confirmed it was Roxy but when I asked the milligram I was told that they were TENS.
This had me a little concerned so I called my "dude" to tell him that he may have been ripped off. He didnt want to hear it and I didnt want to piss him off so I told him to forget that I even called and that I would still pay the money agreed on.
Upon further research via Google I discovered that the pills I had were indeed 30 milligram Roxy's and furthermore that Roxy has never even made a ten milligram pill at least when it comes to Oxy.
So in a nutshell Poison Control lied to me on the dosage of a pill. This happened to me once before though I cant remember with what kind of pill. Seeing that I cant remember I guess they were probably benzo's of some sort.
I talked to some people in O-philes lovely Chatroom about this while it was all going on and they recommend I report this incident to the higher authorities at Poison Control which I am going to do.
I also wanted to post this to make others aware that if its happened to me then its liable to happen to you.
Always get a second opinion is the sum of things.
Bastages!!
What made me not believe PC was the fact that when I got the three 30's I did one right away and, at the time was in the begginings of WD's Yawn..Tear...Goosebumps...Poopy Pants etc., anyway the one entire pill that I did got rid o' the sickness and got me a slight buzz. A ten could not have done this.
Unfortunatly I now, twelve hours after purchasing the pills, only have one 30 left. Ohp well it just fell underneath a celophane and my lighter accidentally crushed it to bits. Whats this??...The powder seems to be forming in a line and a tube has entered my nostrils ...Face uncontrollably appraoching pile o' pill powder and oh SHIT!...(snort)... ...
Well back to the subs Tminus twelve hours...

Isn't poison control an administrative arm of the government (city, county, federal?)? Do you think its a good idea, given they probably record and report incidents based on some sort of protocol that doesn't slant towards junkies, to call them about controlled substances for which you have no prescription? I mean maybe it'd be different if someone were dying, but you're just calling for junky information.
In other words, get a PDR and forget about Poison Control... its not like calling the Better Business Bureau when your toilet from Home Depot squirts water in your ass...

I would just like to say that I have used poison control numerous times and never, to my knoweledge, been lead astray. I have even gotten bored and called in Mexican generics that I had known the drug and dose before I called, and they hit the nail on the head. I have always taken the word of Poison Control to be the gospel. When I heard about one slip up I was shocked, two from one person is almost unbelievible... not that I don't believe you Opi, everyone makes mistakes even Poison Control. That's why I encouraged you and anyone else that runs into an error of their's to report it, otherwise they aren't gonna be able to fix the problem on their end.
As for them going after or looking for recreational users and reporting them to officials, I don't think anybody has anything to worry about. Yeah, I am pretty sure they are federally funded and I would assume also that they record their call's like 911 too (they also ask what town you are calling from too for the really paranoid) but it would be pretty hard to discern between an addict and a patient when the only questions they ask you for pill identification purposes pretain to what markings/what color/what size and shape said pill is. They are in it to help people out not persue them... man just thinking about all the legitimate patients that they would be pestering. And it's not really illegal if you move into a new house and there is unidentified pills left in the cabnet, you call and find out it's CII... alot of people would just flush it down the toliet but would probably keep them if they were Acetaminophen or something.

i hate to say it, but roxy DOES make, or had made, a 10 mg oxycodone pill with just oxy in it. it wsa called roxicodone. my dad had them before. they were just little white pills, didnt look like they had many fillers either. of course this was when i was naive and i only needed 2 or 4 to have a good time. maybe they stopped making them now.

i called poison control once and said i just took "Ten pills, cuz i had a headache"...i said i was prescribed them years ago for pain, so i knew they were a painkiller, then i was asked what the indicium (is that correct? marking?) was on the pills and i said "Well, the markings on all Ten of the painkillers i took had an '80' on one side, and 'OC' on the other"...they just hung up....should i report that?

You make a good case and I stand corrected.
They aren't an enforcement agency, and everyone knows there is no such thing as a government agency or worker that goes outside of their intended scope... its not funded, and in fact could be illegal.
But don't you think a PDR is a necessary book (they're cheap and anyone can buy one at their local drugstore) for any pharm junky?

www.pharmer.org (http://www.pharmer.org)
This website has proven invaluable to me. Almost any opiate i have aquired is listed here. Now i dont think they have dilaudid or fent or the other heavy ones but almost all the common pain narcotics. In my opionion this is the absulute best site for identification, they even have pics, but they have all the info in a clear way to id something. It has saved me from being ripped off and from me ripping people off many of times. www.pharmer.org

yeah, well how would everyone like to call poison control not knowing that they don't give information out like that here in WV. lol.
I called a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago because I had said that "a little 5 year old girl took this pill that said... blah blah blah... what is it?", and the guy who picked up told me "We're not allowed to give out that information anymore, we suggest to you to call 911, thank you" and hung up.
But thank god for the information super highway.. 8-)

You may be right and Ill be the first to correct myself but I cant find any evidance that they ever did make a ten milli tab. Currently I do know that all they make are 15,30 and 60's.
Its completely beside the point anyhow so fug it.
I just wanted to get across the point that the person on the phone may be having a bad day or just got demoted or just hates life in general and doesnt care to do their job properly....dont take it as if it were gospel is all.
I dont think Im going to report shit. I dont care to get someone fired and anyway I promote slacking in all shapes and forms always though I am a hard worker myself...but Ive said it before and Ill quote it again.
We are all here to fart around. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Counting Crows suck live by the way. Fuckin preacher..

Did you check out that site? It is primo...i give it a ten. I think ill actually start a thread on it for very obvious reasons. I just remebered while talking to my wife just a moment ago...that we aquired MANY of these roxies. We thouroughly enjoy them. I havent seen them out here on the west coast but tons in the North East. The Blue and the Green Imediate Release Oxy's, 15 and 30 mg's. They are great, there small and in my opinion have a great taste, im also a chewer though and any joy the taste of any opiated pill. Im not sure if i understand why you would call poison control when you have some much info at the click of your finger, and a community like this to get GOOD info, i mean thats what were here from friend. www.pharmer.org (http://www.pharmer.org) They are good for multiple uses, if you catch my drift. peace

A real PDR runs $80-$100 new. There are definitely cheaper "pill id" guides that you can find in a drug store. I have never seen a real PDR in a drug store, but that may just be my areas. I believe that the publishers of the PDR do publish smaller handbooks and drug references that are more consumer directed than for the physician.

Yeah I saw one over the weekend at cvs and it wasn't a PDR, but it was an ID book and had most of the standard pills in it. There are also plenty of websites. I've had one once that I couldn't find anywhere so I just goooooogled a description of it with the markings in "" and I found it on a discussion board.
