14-hydroxycodeinone results from the oxidation of thebaine and is also an alkaloid found in P. bracteatum. it can be hydrogenated into oxycodone. but does 14-hydroxycodeinone have any opioid effects of its own? I wonder if it would be metabolized into oxycodone if taken orally.

What parts of the P. bracteatum plant is this alkaloid found in? Any idea the concentration?

I doubt it will be metabolized into oxy.
