Howdy,
I'm thinking of starting a new E-Zine that will be based on experiences with psychedelic drugs, specifically:
Salvia
Nitrous Oxide
Mushrooms
Peyote
Ayahuasca
I consider these the 'base' psychedelics, and taking out nitrous, the Four Cardinal psychedelics. All of these are found in nature (nitrous is the only Oxygen-Nitrogen combination in the atmosphere, the rest are poisons). The four cardinal psychedelics also all have some sort of spirit connected to them; The female salvia entity, Ayahuasca has the Elves, Mushrooms seem to have some connection to some earth spirit, a friend told med he experienced on on peyote, but I don't think its a common feeling.
Nitrous, while lacking typifying spirit like some of the others, offers the exact opposite. It breaks the mind free to experience the divine unaided.
These are also the "Great" psychedelics. They're generally 'easy' trips, they lack real danger when used responsibly.

This E-Zine is as of yet untitled. I will soon be setting up a Blog at Blogspot.com for it to act as a front. I will use the blog to communicate to readers and to contributors. It will also be the venue which readers will sign up by sending me an email. Once a month I will send out a document containing the months issue. As long as interest continues, I will continue to send out issues.
What Am I interested in recieving, and how should it be sent?
Send all submissions in the body- do not send attachments. I will return them unread if I'm in a good mood. If I'm in a bad one I'll just delete them.
I'm interested in receiving the following:
Photography
Original Artwork, such as oil paintings, water colors, pastel, etc.
Sculpture (in the form of a photograph, of course. If you need it photographed, I can have it done at the cost of $50 per peice- the photographer will return to you negatives and slides though. She does a great job- it is her job, actually)
I'm interested in High-Quality writing, as well.
Poetry (Send 3-6 poems, up to one page in length. Send up to three multi-page poems)
Short Stories (Submit no more than one story up to 50 pages in length, it must not have been published before or be in consideration by any other journal, online or otherwise)
Essays (Up to 30 pages in length. Again, original work and no multi-submissions)
Don't feel bad if I reject any submissions. I probably will reject quite a few.
For now, it should take less than a week to review anything, but feasibly, it could take up to three months. I've waited six on a really great poem I sent to Poetry, the premiere poetry magazine out of Chicago. It is the only place that can boast that not one poet has ever gotten into the Canon without first publishing there.
I got rejected. A really nice handwritten response though. I did something right.
