I'm trying to get a good list of experiences from opiophile users to compare my experiences with.

I purchased 12 grams of the "super powder" and mixed it into yogurt to consume. The first time, I probably used 2 or 3 grams. The 2nd time, about 5 grams, and the third time was probably 6 grams.
The first 2 experiences, I felt very edgy, tight jaw, not what I would call pleasant. The 3rd experience really didn't do much of anything.

I know that next time, if I actually want more sedating or opiate-like effects, I should probably try about 12 grams at a minimum. But I'd like to get others' experiences as far as how much it took to get the right effects, and what kind of effects you got and at what dose. Also if you used regular ground leaves, "super" powder, or some other extract, specifying that would also help.
My friend is interested in trying kratom more, and uses pod tea every day, going through about 1/3 cup of grounds in a 5 day period (roughly). He hopes to be able to more accurately guess how much to take to avoid the speedy effects that he got the first few times he tried kratom (similar to my experiences). He really really hates stimulants and that tight-jaw feeling a LOT.
Thanks in advance.

Forget about all the specialty bullshit. Get the commercial leaves, grind'em yourself, and go from there. Sounds to me like your 'super powder' was just ground leaves... either way you obviously didn't get enough in your system. You'll know it when you do.

Yeah I realized later when I went back and read the description that it didn't really specify anywhere just how much stronger the "super powder" is, and I realized it's probably just finely ground up leaves. I immediately bought an ounce of leaves and ground them up myself, and my friend will be trying that out today possibly.

Today I made tea out of the ground up leaves I bought. I used 4 tablespoons, and strained the liquid out. I put the material back in water for a 2nd steep but had to leave before I could strain it again.
My friend tried forcing down the thick liquid over the past few hours but has felt nothing. I guess he's going to have to try using about 1/4 ounce next? He thought 4 tablespoons was a lot, but I guess with his pod tea habit it still wasn't enough to feel anything at all. He only uses a few medium/large pods a day at most, so he thought 4 tablespoons would be plenty. He is really surprised.

Ok, well think about it this way... 1oz is 28g (remember your pot math) so 1/4oz is only 7g. If you used less than 7g, and you drank it over several hours, you didn't have enough in your system at one time to feel it.

Here's the way to go: Take 1/4oz, make tea, and drink it all over 15 minutes... and try to drink it on an empty stomach (but you'll want to snack about 10 min after you drink).

If its too bad to the taste, just mix something in with it (fruit juice usually works) to kill as much of the taste as possible. Suck it up. You aren't feeling it because you aren't getting enough in your system at once.

If the tea is really that bad, just parachute it... put some in a square of toilet paper and wrap it up (like a tear drop) and choke that baby down with some water... problem is you'll have to do this a few times to get the proper amt in... but at least if you grind it down it won't be as much

Good luck

I totally messed up that last post. The new purchase was 4 oz, not 1 oz, and he was planning to try taking 1/4 of the 4 oz bag, or about 25 grams roughly, then go up from there if 25 still doesn't seem to do anything.

I tried about 7 teaspoons (on a full stomach) of ground up leaves. WAY TOO MUCH. Never again. It's weird because 3 teaspoons did nothing. But 7 made me feel like I was going to die. I am still in disbelief that I was able to avoid throwing up, but then again, I could barely move even when I wanted to, and not moving at all helped keep things a little less uncomfortable.
