Medical Marijuana for Opiate addicition

Does anyone have any information about the use of medical marijuana for the treatment of opidate addicition/ opiate cravings? Any links to studies talking about it would be great

in many US states and in Canada you can get medical marijuana for opioid addiction. there are a couple US mmj states that won't allow it to be recommended for that use but the vast majority of state medical marijuana laws allow it.

No links but long term personal experience has left me little doubt thats MJ can be a highly effective aid for getting past post-acute wd, it aids appetite, mood, sleep. MJ affects a lot of people differently, to me, it sucks in acute wd - exacerbating most symptoms, but once things quiet down it can be a lifesaver.. Great for passing time and reducing cravings..

Very good question. I've always wondered this as well. My goal one day is to move out west, find a steady job, get my MJ card, and maintain on high grade/government grown/legal marijuana. :cool:

It helps keep me off for sure. Is also a life saver during minor WD and as mentioned post WD.

For me a regimen of cannabis + exercise really helps.

That's really big for me now in PAWS -- the weed really helps me pass the time that goes so slow when I'm feeling shitty, I just smoke some weed and get on my Call of Duty 4 for PC and I can kill a couple hours easily. And then I get an appetite, which helps me have some energy, get some stuff done, and sleep a bit,

I love riding stoned. When I was a kid I spent hundreds of hours running the same track, maybe a quarter/half mile around, BAKED like daily. I swear I'd experience what the Japanese call Satori - like perfection in the moment, everything was perfectly timed, every weight shift, gear change, jump, WOT, *everything* - and ever since, I almost don't feel quite complete on a bike w/out a lil herb in my blood..
