Why doesn't Kratom affect me??

Ok, I finally tried the Kratom. I took 3 tsp of the De-Veined Bali from kratomdragon.com it was $15 an ounce. I felt no releif at all or euphoria and still craved hydro's. Do I need more??? I was taking 15-20 hydro 10's a day btw. What's the best stuff to get for your money that actually works???? Thanks!

When you say 3 tsp, how much of the once bag did that take care of? How did you ingest it? And how bad is your hydro habit?

Those answers will help me give you some idea. I think your first problem is most likely that you just didn't get enough in your system. You have to get a good enough dose to get an idea of what you're looking for. It is different from an opiate in many respects. For example, the euphoria is less, for me, and the body warmth / pain relief is pretty high, almost as high, as opiates (the soft ones).

There are more differences, too. But I had a friend come to me for relief for her H habit, she was out and wouldn't be scoring for 24 hours, and getting sick. I had to really work with her to get her relief.

As for stopping the cravings, you're more likely to get relief from WD, but I don't know if ANY drug really takes cravings away. That's just the junky in you. Especially if its only been hours, or days, the monkey doesn't shut up for much. Even sleep.

kratom can have variable effects on people.

a standard dose is 3-10 grams for me....
so you see how an ounce might not be enough for a person with a pretty strong using record.
I was using up to 50 some grams of kratom a day when using it everyday.

my reccomendations is buy in bulk, and buy the commercial whole leaf.
the stems have alkaloids too, and there is just not any relevant data out there that supports taking the stem material out, save that some people claim they suffer less nausea, but what I wonder is the case if that nausea is due to too much alkaloid consumption? could you just be buying a product that is weaker?

I think that this is the case, that some people get nauseous from opioid consumption, and some people dont. if the stems contain important alkaloids then removing the stems might reduce some of the effects that kratom can induce, including euphoria perhaps.

I personally think the commercial whole leaf is the best deal. I also like to have some of the other kratom products on hand for experimentation purposes, like fortified leaf etc for traveling to work etc.

I think you really have to take too much kratom a few times to get the optimum dose for personal use...for me 5-10 grams is fine...anymore and I start suffereing some negative dizziness, limited visual field, nausea.

be careful, kratom is addictive in my opinion similiar to hydrocodone, in that it only lasts for 4-5 hours. I had to quit taking it everyday, cause I would have to wake up in the middle of my sleep to dose so I could complete my sleep. with other opiates like methadone, morphine, buprenorphine I dont have to do that.

for me kratom is used as a potentiator of other opiates mostly...or as a replacement in case of withdrawl.
I did use kratom predominantly for a few months, and found myself spending similiar amounts of $$ to support that habit as I was with other opiates. then the price was increased by 75%.

the price increase was it for me, at the standard price increase I would have been spending as much cash on kratom as I would on methadone maintenance, buprenorphine, or poppy pod regimines.

Your liver must be on the verge of combusting with all that acetiminophen crammed in there. With a hydro habit that high its amazing you didnt move to more potent pills. Good job though, the first and sometimes the most hardest thing is realizing theres a problem. Theres multiple avenues to take care of physical withdrawal, but your just going to have to rely on friends and family to keep you from wanting to go back down the path you came from. I havent used kratom nor do i know what it does and the facts behind it. But it will definitely be a little bit easier detoxing from hydro rather than oxy, dilaudid, and definitely methadone. take care and stick in there, im gonna be trying to detox/tapering my habit later in the week hopefully so if u need some help or anything feel free to PM me. thats it for now, take it easy.

I have been told that by many people donkey. What's funny is, I even asked a doctor if this was true(My Uncle). He told me that the liver adjusts to the amount of acetphetamine over a long period of time and is able to handle toxic amounts of tylenol. A person who has NO tolerance and takes 15-20 right off the bat has a good chance of dying of liver failure!:( So hopefully my liver built those crystals around it to break down the APAP fast. The crystals around your liver have a medical name for them but its long and I can't remember. Needless to say 15-20 narcotic pills a day are NOT good by ANY means but they are not fatal unless I took 100 a day or so. I was amazed (and releived at the same time) when my Uncle(dr.) told me that!! I'm giving Kratom another try. Thanks for the replies homies!
