Why can't I edit my post?

I'm looking at a post I made, and I really need to edit it, but there is no option (except to quote that post). Is there a reason for this?

After so long (soething like 24 hours or something) your post cannot be modified without a moderator allowing it, I believe.

Unless you PM a mod or admin with the URL - they'll hook you up...
