SWIM was given some of these seeds. SWIM isn't familiar with the preparation of such- anyone know if you can make tea?

You wanna look for D-Limonene Bufotenin Extraction teks if you want to extract the pure Bufotenin (5-HO-DMT).

Or you can look up how to make a snuff from YOPO which would be the quickest and easiest way to DO this stuff.
Here's a quick run through though.
HEat them till they pop..REmove outer shell and discard....continue heating inner shell on low....stop when they are very dry and hard....Crush the seeds with a grinder or whatever...Then mix 2 parts seed to 1 part lime or Baking soda....Add water to form a paste...Dry on low in over....REcrush mats till fine powdery substance remains and then snort or smoke.

I got Yopo seeds once for free with a few grams of poppy seeds that I ordered (that never came too) but the Yopo was an awesome experience. At the time I didn't know I was doing a DMT analogue but in any case it still gave me awesome closed eye visuals which I had never really had before from an psychedelics.


I don't know if you can make tea but I would think the resulting material would taste awful as such things normally do so your best to go with the snuff or the extraction if your up for that.

these seeds are interesting, potent, sometimes nauseating...and sometimes amazing.

I know an old guy from Peru that works with these much of the time.

he claims that coca leaf is chewed/smoked alongside the seed in Argentina...the coca leaf helps some of the body load, headache associated with cebil/yopo seed consumption.

he also makes a simple water extraction of the roasted inner seed.....the fat content will seperate via the lipophobic (fat avoiding) nature of water especially when cooled down....
a little lime paste from an asian market works well for alkaloid extraction. my peruvian freind swears that many recipes for yopo snuff use WAY TO MUCH lime paste...he found that 1/20 the weight of the seeds is enough lime paste...OR LESS.
many people that complain the snuff is too toxic/irritating probably are using way too much lime paste...some people claim lime paste at 1/4 the weight of the seed is needed for a potent snuff...but my peruvian freind disagree's.

one person claims that the roasted seed smoked can be a potent experience, sometimes nauseating. if small enough doses are taken, the effect can be a body load that is interestingly similiar to the crushing body load of a shot of heroin...the rush of the seeds can be overwhelming if taken in too large of a dose.
small repeated inhalations are advisable over larger doses.

bufotenine is the most prominent active alkaloid in the seeds...this is a controlled substance, so while the seed in whole form might not attract attention, having prepared yopo/cebil snuff, or water extraction resin of yopo/cebil snuff, basically a concentrate....is an illegal substance in some countries including the USA.

there are some reports of people using the seeds orally.....but I would caution against such.
some reports of using the seeds in various oral preparations are to be found in the literature...but mostly these are reports of indigenous use.

the seeds can have amazing effects from what I have read. but many people just experience body load, minor visuals, and nausea. time and place, set and setting are just as important with this seed as any other entheogen/psychedelic..possibly more.

I know a guy that researched using coca quids and smoking coca leaf when taking yopo....apparently it did smooth out some of the effects, especially the feeling of pressure in the head.

the active compounds I think are strong vasodialators....they can cause extremely red/purple flushing of the face....its part of the body load for sure.
the effect reminded me somewhat of niacin cut heroin...itchy, flushing, hot face and extremities.

smoking causes the most direct effect, goes through the body quicker...snuffing causes some strong sinus swelling, which for some people is not going to be tolerated. controlling the amount of lime paste is important. a water extraction and evaporation to reduce the extract can produce a somewhat tolerable dripping substance...this is the process that my peruvian friend finally settled with if he does not smoke the seed, as the liquid extract is very potent, and not nearly as irritating as the whole snuff powder.

I have seen a person take a gram of yopo snuff, when drunk...he was warned to only take it in 100 milligram doses...but he got drunk, and snuffed the whole lot.
he thought he died, hallucinated cops and ambulances hauling his corpse away....
really he was just passed out cold....his friends didnt know what to do...but he was still breathing so they just waited.
when he woke up, he claimed to have a religious experience...a near death experience, experienced as fully dying...he realized the error he made.
some people just dont take sound advice....this guy is lucky he didnt die.

bufotenine is similiar in ways to 5meo dmt....both are substances to not be taken lightly...they are both much more potent than DMT.
with DMT its sometimes hard to get enough in one lungful to put someone completely in the zone....but with bufo or 5 meo, just a few milligrams can be enough to cause strong reaction.

I do remember it not being a pleasant snort so to speak and I don't know that I used a 2:1 ratio years ago when I did it but I imagine I found a similar tek like the one I just looked at a few minutes ago that called for 2:1.

1/20 is on par with a standard DMT extraction from Mimosa with lye so in that sense I guess a little will go a long way.

Anadenanthera refers speifically to the scientific name of plant,
you need to know what species you have?

Nopo or Yopo is the general term for the snuff produced from Anadenanthera peregrina, chief alkaloids being DMT and trace 5-MEO-DMT.
Vilca or Cebil refers to the namely bufotenine (5-HO-DMT) containing A. colubrina

this alkaloid variation makes for a very dif experience between the two preparations.

And of course Yopo or Vilca can also be snuffed, plugged and smoked. If doing the later use something that you dont plan on smoking anything else out of as it will leave behind a very pronounced odour that no amount of cleaning will remove. Smoking is also a good way to 'ease' yourself into the experience as the pain from snuff can be overwhelming enough to detract from the 'fun'.

as said above the amount of akaline material used (traditionally calcium hydroxide but Bi-carb ect can also be used with no troubles) will greatly effect the level of comfort when snuffed, dont use 2:1 a simple pinch or more like the previosuly 20:1 will be effective.

whilest it is to a degree 'psychedelic' def not to the same degree as traditional hallucinogens, one could say it is more a narcotic type effect.
most users liken the effects of Vilca, Cebil to being shot out of a canon while an Elephant sits on your head. ;)
