I was recently having a look-see at the user agreement for Opiophile and I came acrossed something I found rather interesting that I had not noticed before and it raised a few questions with me that I feel are relivent at this time with all the recent threads/post regarding suspicous solicitious (and otherwise) activity being PM'ed and, unfortunately posted, by newer members lately. Anyways, here it is copied/pasted:
"You agree that you are not affiliated with any type of law enforcement agency. You agree that you are not acting as a representative of any form of government agency. You agree that your purpose here is strictly informational, and that your intent is in the best interest of Opiophile.org members"
Now, law is not my area of expertise... but I assume there are others here that have a better grasp on the subject than I do, I was just wondering how airtight this is? I wonder if this means that in order for a LEO or anyone affliated with them or any other government agency would have to have explicit permission to puruse through this site as a member... say like a warrent for collecting information. Or, perhaps more malignate, can the statement "your intent is in the best interest of Opiophile.org members" be used by them in the sense that "by pursuing and possibly prosecuting said member, they would be aiding in his 'recovery' and thus void the 'intent in best interest' part."
I don't know, but I believe that that is the only part of the user agreement (that we all agreed to when we became members) that is in bold faced type... I suppose signifying it's importance. I am just wondering if this "preventive messure" would actually protect us from these vultures, and if so, what to what extent.
