How strict your clinic is

Hey all,

just wanted to ask how strict or difficult your clinic is, if one happens to have other drugs in use... I mean regarding UA's: arre there regular UA's and what if there are..?

My clinic is very strict rrigid and all regarding other drug use. One is supposed to be on MMT and is nor allowed to use other drugs. If one uses, one would have preoblems. I know it is difficult thing; that that if one has some other drug use, like coke or amphetamin (or even pot). Those who were in Bupe, didn't get doses over 20mgs, if the had/has some other drug use (pot smoking) etc.

As most of you know I live in the UK so things are probably different here. Anyway my clinic definitely doesn't condone other drug use, and I would be very wary about using crack or something just before a test,(therefore if i was going to use other drugs i'd make sure it didn't clash with the appointment)
However I have to say they seem to be laid back regarding weed/cannabis (call it whatever!) use. I have never stopped smoking weed, (nor at the present timenor in the forseeable future do I have any intention of stopping whereas opiate wise I'd like more control, although I can't see a time when I don't use opiates but I would ultimately like to be technically clean ie. off mmt, without a heroin habit, and just chip!! i know I know, unlikely, however we all have to have dreams don't we?????????)
Anyway as usual I've gone off at a bit of a tangent there, sorry!!!!
What I'm trying to say is that my clinic either doesn't test for weed/cannabis etc or they don't see it as causing any significant problem to me although obviously if asked they would say I should stop smoking it and whenever I've seen the doctor there they always say I should stop smoking weed, but they don't hold me to ransom over it like they do if I use heroin or other opiates on top of my script. I rarely use crack or coke but when I have I've told my drug worker(i know maybe I'm too honest what if they don't test for it, which nine times out of ten they probably don't after all apparently when they take a swab, they then tick the boxes for which drugs they want the swab tested for and each box costs about £10)
She just reminds me that its not a good idea to use crack, and not to replace one drug with another, and also there is nothing they can give you to help you get off coke or crack in the same way that they can give you meth or subutex to get off heroin.

My clinic is very strict, IMO at least. Although it is quite probable there are stricter in the world, even by legislation alone, but still... We MUST give an weekly urinesample, and if you miss that, you're in a world of shit. When the notice-slip of an UA is found from your notebook (we all have a notebook in which we confirm by signature that we have indeed our daily dose) you have 24 hrs to give the test. If not performed in the given timefame, it is listed as positive. And positive UAs' mean that you can't have any take-home doses.
:mad: And the whole take-home thing is sooo fucked up with all kinds of rules and regulations, ie. one must give four straight clean UAs', meaning an abstinence from everything for four weeks, and then you can apply for the first take-home. Then you must stay clean in order to keep the take-homes going, and yes folks, that applies to weed as well as alcohol. Nothing is permitted. And once you have your take-homes rolling, you must "earn" one of the xXx take-home doses you are permitted (legal max. is 8 days worth) per week, and if you relapse into using something, the whole shabang starts from scratch.

These are just some of the things we have going on... :rolleyes: I'm not even sure is my output intelligible, but I hope it is.

Im in Texas, where we have some of the most progressive methadone clinics..we were the 1st to do away with dose caps etc ( although since someone got busted selling carry outs...DEA showed up with the bottles..) the Dr gives you a bunch of shit when you wanna go over 160.
Anyway they dont test for pot, as the focus is on harm reduction..IE stop IV use, stop HARD drug use, stop OD, stop prison time, etc
Ive given some damn near radio active UA's since january. Ive given some straight up refusals. My bladder has the ability to hold alot of liquid before I gotta piss..so if I wake up at say 5 am and piss, I can drink about 4 pots of coffee before I have the slightest urge to go. My clinics only open from 6 am to 930. Sometimes I wake and have to piss bad ,so I do ,and when I go to the clinic if they want a sample my bladder odten will outlast the clinics hours and the clinic director just said "Give a refusal " so I do..
But I dont get cary outs ( used to) anymore...but I dont care right now...
