This may NOT be the right forum, but I found this newsletter interesting. It contains updates on FDA / DEA requirements for approval of drugs potentially abusable.

The LINK called "surveillence" provides the most information on the type of contact we will have with researchers about abuse potential of drugs. I do NOT expect we will have direct contact, they will "mine and harvest" the info from opiophile for their reports.
IMO Opiophile will become one of the absolute best sources for this program. IMO Jackie should contact these folks and try and leverage access to this site into big money for him. Opiophile is a GOLDMINE for the study of what and how drugs are abused. (I had assumed that the "survey" was part of this program).
I have a friend who is trying to market a new pain delivery system and some of my friends have bought stock in his company. He thinks he will have to hire a company to study the "abuse potential" of his delivery system befoe he gets FDA approval.
Obviously I have a bigger interest in the "approval process" of drugs of abuse than a lot of people. If opiophile management thinks the group is NOT interested in this info. let me know and I will not post more newsletters.
EDIT" I have no way of knowing if Opiophile will be one of the sites "surveilled", but IMO it makes sense that it is the best source of info for this program. I could be wrong.

How will you market Chuck Norris?
this whole thing is kind of creepy and makes me uncomfortable for some reason. IDK, I mean I know "outsiders" read this forum and all, but thinking about drug companies and the FDA monitoring or "surveilling" the site and using our experiences to report back to people to make changes in the pain medications available just bugs me i guess..

yeah, ok guys, please heed this if you are concerned:
This site DOES use google analytics. That means they can track where the referring URLS come from.
I suggest cutting and pasting the address into your address bar. This way there is NO referral URL!!!

mmm... yummy OATS(opioid attractiveness technology scaling) blah...
"Therefore, new “abuse–deterrent” formulations that alter the physical and/or chemical
properties of the drug to prevent extraction may be most likely to impact the attractiveness
for abuse of that drug for those who snort, smoke, or inject prescription opioids."
no no no fuckkers no NO NO FUCK YOU
i would gladly make DCBA-esque graph to demonstrate these rotten bags-of-oats-for-brains
that this is like ratpoison in foodstuff..people will still do it, maybe unknowingly or with a sigh
recalling the good old days of unadultered pharmaceuticals. K4 dilaudid will be a thing of
history, myth, legend... heroin will still be around & guess what, i don't need to tell you where
those crowds of sick pharm lovin grandmas will empty their coffers. Either a. we'll find a way to
extract it b. do it either way no matter the dangers c. switch to "alternatives".. either way , wtf
are they achieving.. show me an addict who decides "hmm, doing this shit is just too too much
trouble - maybe it's time to detox & fix my shitty life".
desecration of our lovely poppy plantess & all her family...
...these are dark times dear brothers & sisters
:(:(:(
ps. not sure if this is what the thread is focused on, you guys seem to be going on about what the user
posted & other parts of the link but i want to give these guys [dwentworth@inflexxion.com] a piece of
my mind & maybe hack their site if no response come my way ;)

Most web servers are configured to log referral URLs regardless of whether their owners subscribe to Google Analytics or similar services, so it's a good idea to copy and paste URLs when navigating away from opiophile to any site that might be "interested" in hits originating from here. I hope that made sense.
It's also a good idea to use an ad-blocking plugin (e.g. Adblock Plus for Firefox,) configured to block traffic to *.google-analytics.com and other stats trackers. Smash the system, man. (heh)

it is creepy...
but I guess if money is going to be swung around....websites like this should take advantage to net as much of the funding as they could.
and look at all the junkies and druggies willing to sit in a hospital bed and help drug exploration proceed commercially by being used as willing test subjects.
we all have a stake in the medicines that are created I guess....
