Been Havin Lotsa Drug Dreams Lately

The title says it all.

I almost feel like I want to go off the wagon and get some dope somehow. Good thing is I cannot afford it and I have no connects. It's probably best that way. There's nobody to even sell me pills atm.

Oh well, I had an awesome drug dream last night until I awoke in the middle then was pissed it wasn't real.

Has this happened to you guys? You've been clean a while then you start drug dreaming and subsequently jonsing?

IT always happens to me, I've never fiended harder then after one of those dreams!

They pass eventually, well at least I think they do for most people, I'm pretty weak willed.

So have i and its really really shitting me.... And for some reason i really feel like death in the morning and even though i know i'll prob feel better after my dose - my mind just doesn't rationalise it like that and i just get more and more depressed and hopeless feeling. I have dreams about the stupid chemist and him being mean or whatever to me, or not giving me the goods, or all sorts of stupid stuff... pretty lame :o
The last few months i have really been desperate for a high or drugs or something, and think about it ALOT. i know i can't get anything from h so i'm not off doin that, or even considerin it, but i look back at the past - pre methadone, junk days with rose coloured glasses. I wish i could just get Take Aways - but i knokw what id do with them :o:o

Frequently happens, and sometimes I still feel stoney when I wake up, until reality chases away the "buzz" with the dreamwebs. I quit doing coke many years ago, and yet had a dream about using last year. I could taste the drip. Weird...I never regretted coke or really even jonesed for it after I quit.

I have drug dreams almost every night. I never actually get high in them, so they don't make me jones when I wake up. It's odd because I can have genuine orgasms in my dreams but I never get high. Such a disappointment.
Someone is always finding my baggies and making me panic in them as well. . . .

i have those dreams too a lot. some of them i don't end up getting to do the drugs, like something keeps on happening that prevents me from doing it as i'm breaking a pill up but others i've successfully snorted lines and felt kind of high in them. also if something keeps on preventing me from doing it in a dream ive just swallowed all the pills i had on me in the dream. that one was pretty crazy. just digging into a giant bag of 80s and chompin down a handful of them. i was really dissapointed when i woke up from that one.

I only have them if I am close to being in wd's, i.e. if I haven't been taking my sub in lieu of taking my DOC for a few days, and then the next morning I am getting close to WD and while I'm rolling around in bed around 4-6AM before I get up at 6:30 I have really, really intense dreams where I score through unimaginable difficult struggle, eventually get home to my safe spot, rig up.....and then I either spill the spoon or miss the shot.

I have ONLY gotten high in a dream once -- and i shit you not after I did I dreamed that I had an OD! ha.

ive had very few drug dreams, maybe two i can recall... went looking for the dope i thought i had in my dream once when i woke up.

I remember the most 2 vivid drug dreams ever (idr last nights) ...

1) I was at a concert that was at an outdoor venue. It seemed circa 1965-70. This girl gave me what looked looked like a medicine bottle of M&M's and she's like "watch out man you'll be floating."

So I took 'em all like a fiend then the next thing I know I'm floating in the air above the venue at least 50-60 feet. When I awoke I felt the sensation of falling out of the air.

2) More of a drug nightmare... My buddy and his gf were driving in my buddy's car. I was n the backseat behind my friend. We were cruising in this urban area and we stopped and this black dude with a backwards hat got in next to me. He's like "Yo I got what you need."

I asked "How much a bundle?"

And he's like "It's 30."

When I went for my wallet he pulled out a knife and he sold me these fake drugs that I paid him for. Why I didn't just let him keep that shit is beyond me. They were just salt packets that he put in the glassine wrappers or whatever.

He jumped out of the car and ran to go cop for himself. I remember feeling so in w/d at that point because he was the only guy we knew.

When I awoke I felt like I was in severe w/d.

This dream was shortly after I got into dope.

What's weird about mine is that they're never about opiates, just drugs I don't do anymore. Like, I've had countless pot and acid dreams. And I feel genuinely stoned in the pot dreams, but the acid ones are so weird. I'll take the acid, and it hits me hard and all of a sudden I can't focus on anything visually and can't stop moving my head. It's frightening actually.

yeah, i'm another one who dreams of drugs but can never get high. i'm always acquiring the most amazing stashes, like i'll find the motherload of poppies then realise i already have a bunch on oxies, a few e's and a sheet of acid with plenty of benzos for the comedown, i'm always finding drugs in my dreams and i've always got a collection, like my tin is full of everything i need and just as i'm all sorted and ready to enjoy them it's dream over, back to reality. bummer!

and speaking of dreams i had my first experience of sleep paralysis the other night, it was the morning, i was half awake, being woken up by my flatties getting up & leaving the house. as real as if it was actually happening, i heard someone walking down the hall, the door of my room opening and someone walking into my room. i could feel the presence, an evil presence, like whoever it was wanted to kill me and i couldn't get up to do anything about it. i couldn't move and as i tried to scream there was no sound. i woke up pretty quickly but that scared the crap out of me. i know i've read of SP here before, complete with the evil presence in the room, and thought 'thank fuck that doesn't happen to me'. it did and it's not cool.

that's only happened to me once too! it was scary as shit dude. i was laying in bed and felt something evil come into my room and that something terrible was just going to happen and i couldn't do anything about it. it felt like it took forever to actually wake up man. i hope it never happens again!

When I was reading the Castenada books they were happening alot. I forget what the books said they were, it was something approaching. They would happen in the daytime even.

I've been getting junk dreams quite frequently lately. At first I thought it was due to my low dose of Suboxone (2mg) but I've been taking that amount for a while now and I didn't get them when I first lowered the dose. I think it's due to my increasingly shitty mood and because I've been fiending like hell and obsessing over my DOC.

I also can't get high in my dreams; at least I can't recall any dreams that I managed to get high in. Most of the time I fumble around as I try to prepare a shot and usually end up spilling it or something. My hands just don't work in junk dreams. Another dream scenario that bugs me is when I obtain drugs but can't get to a place to use them or I can't find my works. I always have a ridiculous amount of drugs, too, and I always wake up disappointed - especially back when I was using. There are few things more disheartening than waking up sick and thinking you have a giant bag full of 80s or an ounce of heroin and then realizing it was just a dream.:sickinbed

I usually dream that I either find drugs, or I get a lot of drugs for cheap. And I never get to using them in the dream. I am always thinking, "I can't wait to get high!" Then I wake up before getting high, and feel pretty disappointed that it was all a dream.

I'm jealous for people who have "good" dreams about opiates in their dreams. I ALWAYS have dreams about people stealing my pills, and I start freaking out and doing drastic stuff to not go into withdrawals....I always wake up freaking out and it takes me amoment to realize it was just dream, actually more like a nightmare to me. I get these damn dreams atleast once a week, and I absoutly hate them. Also it seems like opiates make me dreams much more realistic and very detailed, but then again I dont remember what my dreams where like being clean since I've spent my whole adult life dependant on opiates....

OMG, I've had those too! I'll find a whole cache of dope/coke/pills and before I have a chance to do any or hide it somewhere someone walks in on me like Mrs. LE or a friend that knows I'm supposed to be clean and then I feel depressed because I had to give it up/away/flush it whatever.

Or, the other twist, I'll be holding a bag or a bundle or something and I'll drop it somewhere like down a sewer grate. Something will happen, either way, to come between me and the drugs!

It's so comforting in a way to know I'm not the only one. Apparently this happens quite a bit and there's a lot of the same elements...

really cheap and plentiful drugs, no rigs, nowhere to do 'em, something happens so you can't get high etc.

...and they all end in a disappointing awakening.

Freud said dreams are wishes and I wonder if we have any folks that are really into dream interpretation out there who might want to shed some light on this or offer their input.

Do you think it's that secretly, deep down we're trying to rationalize our wants somehow? Is it our "subconscious" or "unconscious" mind telling us something?

I have been having a SHITLOAD of these dreams since getting on subs.

They come and they go...but when i have them...in my dream, i get GOOD AND HIGH...so when i wake, im pissed off and it starts the whole fiending thing..for days!

I can be doing really well on subs and have one of those dreams and im cravin' like HELL all day...all down hill after one of those dreams! Its like i HAVE to use once i have one of those dreams.

They suck! I wish there was some way to stop from having them.

I wonder if it has something to do with looking at my hubby every FUCKIN night of my life, eyes pinned, sitting on the couch high as fuck on pain meds... ASSHOLE! His day will come...

I personally hate those drug dreams. I only get them when I am either kicking or out of dope and cannot score. Laying for hours on end tossing and turning trying to get sleep only to have dope dreams and being woken up with nothing and back to square one. Pure torture man, pure f'ing torture.:mad:

I would get crazy drug dreams about shooting coke and dope, dilaudids, etc. Then right before I would be able to do it in my dream, something would always prevent me. Then I'd wake up, usually in withdrawal. Since getting off opiates I have only had a couple of drug dreams (I have actually only had a handful of any kind of dreams, regardless of content) and in these dreams I have been ABLE to actually use in them. I usually woke up feeling disgusted or really ashamed of myself, thinking that it was what really happened because it felt so real...then I realized it was all a dream and feel better about it, but it hasn't happened in a while. Are you sure it's just your dreams that are making you feel this way, and not that you subconsciously still want to do dope? Might be something to look into, Limitless.

EDIT: Anyone also get that thing in dreams where they are in a fight, but they can't punch very hard? Like, you are trying to punch but it feels like it's through a bag of sand or something, and in really slow motion? I hate that shit, I end up beating the crap out of whoever it is I'm fighting in my dreams but I can't punch them very hard, lol. :D

I HATE THESE DREAMS. I would seriously rather have my way-too-frequent sleep paralysis w/ demonic hallucinations or my incessant dreams of getting a shot ready and either spilling the spoon or missing the shot.

I believe that the dream thing has very much to do with the fact that the brain is a chemical computer. So not only all the conscious and subconscious junk gets processed, but also all the excess chemicals or chemical shortages - in this case opiates.

You will definitely see the same phenomenon happen when you miss a few meals and try to go to sleep - dreams about food will occupy your mind for much if not all of the night.

I have a few, most I have posted on here but more times than not they are always I have the drug and no needle or I have to wait out the sub in my system or I wake up just when I push the plunger down. One I had that was real weird was a dark red sky and it was more animation than real and it was a needle that morphed into a snake and rolled out his tongue the tongue morphed into a dragon and so on and so on all dark frightful images

Same here, one day I woke as the Soprano's was on I had been caulking a van to stop it from leaking when Tony ask's what the hell are you whereing, I look down and I had rapped my self with Duct tape over balls and all and just said man thats gonna be hard to get off lol.
