Swim would like to find out the same. Swim is planting small unknown plants for a winter. But would like some precious for another small plot.

It can be a crap shoot. If it were me I'd look for bargains on mystery strains. Spread your money around. Don't count on 1 strain or one vendor. Best strain I ever got was 22 bucks and the one I paid a lot for was a total waste and that was from the same breeder. Go for quantity and you'll find some gems in there then you clone the shit outa the winners.

You might want to ask around for some rooted cuttings. Much quicker and the sorting has already been done. Save ya months of f'n around. Even @ $20 each they are a very good deal but I've never paid more than 10.

I just wanted to chime in and say that a buddy of mine has been ordering seeds online for about a year now, with excellent results.

He ordered from a couple sites, and then settled on one in particular - without paying extra for the 'guaranteed female' batches, he's had great luck and only had one seed that turned out to be male out of 60. Pretty good odds. And besides, all you need is one good female and you can just clone your ass off from there.

I don't remember what he said they cost, unfortunately. It was nominal.

I'm not sure what the TOS says about naming sources or websites of vendors, but if it's cool, I'd be happy to post the URL of the company I'm talking about ;)

A pal of mine has ordered seeds from North of the U.S as well with good results. However,he has gotten ripped off once or twice from folks over seas, although he thinks it was customs that snagged the beanz because one time the package came but had no seeds in it.
Although there has never been a bust (or at least that I've heard of) due to seeds he has them shipped to a P.O box and it works like a charm.

I know people that order from Canada, as well as Amsterdam. There used to be one from Great Britain, but I haven't looked around in a while. There are a couple auction sites that can be used as well.

I'd buy the cheaper seeds. Unless you've been growing for quite a while and have everything dialed in there is no reason to spend the extra $100 on some super new limited edition cannabis cup seeds. Concentrate on getting good yields out of some easy growing strains then go for the top o the line.

wc; if its your first time growing, dont even buy seeds. just use "bag seeds". practice makes perfect:D
