My good friend who is a filmmaker, turned me onto his work..truth is I was a fan of alot of his movies but didn;t know he directed them. They include "Bad Liuetenant" "The Addiction" and one of my favorites "King OF New York" I;m pretty sure he was an opiphile at one point, there is a lot of "action" in his work...

And Ms. 45, the protagonists is female who gets raped twice on her way home one night. Pissed off, she gets a .45 and starts getting revenge, Bronsons style. Toward the end she dresses like a nun while she kills. Ms. 45 is one of his lady friends in Bad Lt. The thin dark haired girl who says " I've got some fine brown shit for you." After Keitel smokes the H you can see the lines of tension dissolve on his face. Method acting. That lady (Ms. 45 died of a heroin overdose soon after Bad Leutenant).

Bad Lt. has been a favorite of mine since high school. A broken man who finds some kind of redemption by finding the nun's rapists.

Yes then smoking crack with the rapists, sticking a gun in their faces and finally putting them on a bus with a boxfull of money. What the fuck?

I've seen Bad Lt quite a few times and could never get the ending. He lets the nun rapists go and gives them a bunch of money! I suppose maybe the thought is that the nun could forgive the rapos so he tries to as well, the point being everyone deserves forgiveness, lord knows Harvey's character has done bad things too.

I've seen Bad Lt quite a few times and could never get the ending. He lets the nun rapists go and gives them a bunch of money! I suppose maybe the thought is that the nun could forgive the rapos so he tries to as well, the point being everyone deserves forgiveness, lord knows Harvey's character has done bad things too.

word on the street in 90s was abel knew what he was talking about- his (ex) wife was one of my boys biggest clients, i heard a LOT of second/third hand stories....
always loved his films for the dichotomy of good/evil, choice we all make in life, etc....'the addiction' is one of my favorites too
