Anyone here familiar with Reishi mushrooms? They are a medicinal mushroom that I have been growing for tea and I have found they are helpful with cutting back my suboxone intake.
You boil the fresh or dried fruit(or conk as they are sometimes called) for about an hour and then let steep for an hour. It is very bitter but I dilute it in a cup of regular tea and add some honey or maple syrup. The effects of the tea are not euphoric but they do give you a general sense of well-being, hard to define but a good feeling.
You can find Reishi in supplement form quite easily, but I can't speak to the effectiveness of them. The mushrooms themselves are easily ordered on-line or you can buy kits to grow them yourself. They are fairly easy to grow even without any sort of special fruiting chamber.
The one problem with Reishi is it is not something you want to take everyday over a long period of time. There is another type of mushroom that I have been making tea out of: Chaga, and that is something you can take everyday but I don't get the same effects as Reishi.
