Why I feel so different on roxi vs ocs vs percs, its all oxycodone right?

Swim and and a friend have been wondering this for awhile now, we much rather trade 4-5 roxi 30s for a oc80.
Swim can do 5 roxi 30s and still not feel well vs 1 oc80 and be "normal".

Also, so whats the deal with percs, i mean its just oxycodone/apap but seems to give more of a "energetic" feeling.

i felt the same way when i was into oxy more.

id get different feelings from percs or contins or roxys. its all the same active ingredient, maybe it has something to do with the inactive ingredients. i sure there is some uncontrollable psychological shit going on too. size of the pills etc. some people have a special place in their heart for their specific DOC too. just seeing it. like if you were expecting an 80 and got 8 10's, its jut not the same so your eexpectations may get skewed.

I think its something with the formulation of the drug by the drug companys

The reason you may feel a difference between the Percocet and the OxyContin/Roxicodone is the ROA (route of adminsitration). My guess, without knowing you, is that you snort the OxyContin and Roxicodone and swallow the Percs. Am I right?

As far as feeling better off on 80 than 5 30s. There are several explanations. Before I go into it and type all the stuff out just answer this for me. Do you snort them? Do you do the whole 80 at once? Do you do the 5 30s at once or spread them out?

Maybe your method of defeating the time release mechanism isn't completely effective with the brand of OCs you're taking?

good point roxi. A percentage of oral oxycodone gets metabolized into oxymorphone, so that would definitely make the effects different from snorting.

If the explanation isn't the route of administration, it could be purely psychological. Like mikey said, it could be the size of the pills, it could be the color, the taste, etc. Your mood and the setting you are in also plays a role in how you feel when using opiates.

I agree with mac, the other day I found out a family member has swine flu and I had just taken some stuff and my mood changed rapidly upsetting me and taking half my high away, also fatty foods and my body temperature make big differences as well.

When you snort something, your nose can only hold so much powder, before the rest cakes up, or goes down the back of your throat. So if you snort a pill with more filler, then when your nasal passages are totally covered, there will be less oxycodone available to absorb, then pills with less filler.

Pure oxycodone powder, would allow the most amount to be absorbed, as there wouldn't be any filler to dilute it down, and take up nasal cavity space.

So pills with more filler, will hit less hard, and not last as long, because the excess powder reduces the maximum amount you can absorb. And the less you absorb, the quicker it will wear off.

It's similar if you break the pill down to shoot. As the excess filler will trap oxycodone solution, so if you just crush it, dissolve and filter, the more filler powder in the pill, the more oxycodone solution will get trapped in the filler and cotton, so the less will be extracted into your shot. But if you filter the solution, then add more water to the powder and cotton, mix and draw that up as well, then you've done 2 extractions on the powder, and then the difference in extraction efficiency is minimal, and you should have gotten 95% of the oxycodone out, no matter what brand oxycodone used.

All oxycodone pills contain the amount of oxycodone that they say they do. So a 40 mg oxy will contain 40 mg oxycodone no matter what brand it is. But the filler material does make a difference, and even if you eat the pill whole, different pills will break down and release the dose at different rates. However, if you crush then eat the pills, they'll be the same, because the pills will be broken up, so your body will absorb the oxycodone at the same rate, no matter what brand pill it was.

It all depends on the ROA and substance at hand. Some are more or less bioavailable than others. Roxis come on hard but have no legs because they are an IR mixture.
OC's snorted are less BA than oral but since your nose can only take in so much, alot maybe even most is absorbed through the stomach, which takes longer but is stronger with greater legs.
