Just wondering, do common potentiators (histamine-blockers, proton-pump-inhibitors, grapefruit juice, dxm, diphen) have an effect if the opiate in question is administered either IV, or nasally? My guess is DXM and diphen still would, antacid meds would not, but the one I'm not sure of is grapefruit juice. Would this do anything?

Works in the liver, so unless those things that you're talking about pass thru that....no it wouldn't.

Right, which is essentially what I am asking.

IV still goes through the liver, up the nose, I'm not so sure about.

Youcould always try it with potenators and without, then report your results back here in the name of science.

I think the meds that target the stomach (proton pump inhibitors, antacids) would be rendered useless. But you should definitely notice the added impact of sedative antihistamines and DXM. And if the drug you take is broken down by an enzyme that grapefruit inhibits, you should notice added duration to the high with grapefruit juice. On that same note I would assume Tagamet (cimetidine) should increase the length of the high because of it's enzyme inhibition, but not because it is a stomach medicine.

IIRC that should be cytochrome p450 2D6
