I've done my best to search the archives but there isn't a very good match to what I'm trying to figure out.
Is it possible to develop some kind of 'allergic' type reaction to reasonably small amounts of oxy or hydro that will suddenly cause someone who has taken both drugs on and off for years to vomit 20 times after taking 20-30mg of oxy (snorted) or 10-15mg hydro (chewed).
My friend is somewhat opiate naive but it has gotten ridiculous. There was a time where she could eat 6-7 norco 10/325s (over a day) and get slightly nauseous and maybe vomit once in a night. Now 15mgs of 10/500 hydro makes her puke for hours after taking it. Same with oxy -- she feels good for a couple hours after snorting, but then gets sick and vomits every 20 minutes for HOURS after dosing. At first I thought it might be related to the tylenol, but the same thing happens with oxy. She doesn't smoke cigarettes so it's not that combination.
It's almost like she has developed a sensitivity or allergy to oxy / hydro. There is nothing weird going on with her liver or kidneys, she's had physicals recently. I know in the beginning a could years ago it wasn't like this. She hasn't been using straight through -- her usage is off and on.
I've suggested that she smoke some pot to help with the nausea (still needs to try this), but she can't get any scripted anti nausea meds. Maybe this is just a weird personal thing but I wanted to see if anyone else had heard of something like this happening to others. Thanks, all
TL;DR - My friend gets really nauseous and vomits for hours after taking small amounts of oxy (25mg) or hydro (15mg). She did not react this way for years and has never been strung out.

Not sure about what causes this either, but a friend of my wifes - she has the same issues with opiates. She once got a hydro script for 5/500 for a knee injury, took only one of them and then began vomiting many times about 20 minutes or so later.
Funny thing is she took the pills back to the doctor and he switched it out for ibuprofen. At least she felt better in the end. I know for people who don't suffer from Chronic Pain, high dose ibuprofen is a very very effective analgesic. It works well on me, even better than Vicodin (of course comparison was made before developing a tolerance to doses that would kill an African elephant).

I believe its very common in people who could be mildly aergic while taking the drug at one time and when they stop and restart dvelop a more harsh reactio each time. This also happens with my mom (who has alot of antibiotic allergies too)so she wont take either med.
Like LKGN wifes friend my mom also chose no meds after surgery as the last time she took the hydro she spent hours puking. If it is an allergy of some sort then each reaction with exposure will get worse.
Sometimes hydro makes me queasy but usually if I havent eaten.Hope you figure it out.

Try some meclizine HCl or "Dramamine II" it's a great OTC anti nausea and potentiator.
Otherwise, my other favorite anti nausea, though prescription, it can be found at online pharmacies. It's called Ondansetron or Zofran, it comes in various dosages, I suggest 4 or 8 mg tablets.

When I was opiate-naive I had the same problem. Whenever I got real high on any opiates I could expect to be puking my guts out after a couple hours. Smoking weed helped, but only for another couple hours and then I'd be puking my guts out when the weed wore off.
As I became a more regular user the nausea and vomitting stopped. It went the way of the euphoria I guess... I used to feel SO fucking good on opiates and now that euphoria is barely noticeable. I can go from sick to nodding off and it never feels anything like it used to.
As I'm writing this I'm wondering why I even still use opiates. Oh yeah, the dreaded withdrawals... It kinda' feels like I've been duped.

Guy's I've got an awesome idea!
We need to start a new urban legend among junkies!
(Ya know, kinda like the one about grapefruitjuice increasing potency, ok, it's not ENTIRELY an urban legend, but almost... You catch my drift!)
So, after reading this post:
Same with oxy -- she feels good for a couple hours after snorting, but then gets sick and vomits every 20 minutes for HOURS after dosing.
I suggest that the urban legend we start should go like this: "Giving a blowjob PREVENTS you from throwing up after taking opiates!"
The reasoning behind it can be something like, that the act itself supresses the gag reflex, or that the vomiting is caused by opiates being very alkaline, but that can be neutralized by slightly acidic sperm.
(It doesn't have to be perfect, but just semi-believable)
Do you guys realize how awesome it could be?!?
Junkies hot female aquaintance: "Could you whip your dick out for me please? I need to give you a blowjob"
Happy junkie: "Wow! Again? I'm psyched, but it's just two hours since the last one!"
Junkies hot female aquaintance: "Yes again! I'm going to work in an hour, and I want to be really high, cause I don't come home til midnight!"
Guys, this could be TRULY EPIC!
So get to work, do what needs to be done... Make some posts here, casually mention it to all your friends, set up accounts on other drug fora! The sooner we get to work, the faster it'll reach critical mass, where it spreads by itself, and we just have to lean back, and recieve our sloppy wet rewards!

Way too true, way too true.

It starts a couple hours after the initial dose, whether it be oral hydro or snorted oxy. Then it lasts for many hours.
She has taken hydro on full and empty stomach, same problem. I don't think she's ever tried oral oxy (haha) but I suggested it. I really think ROA doesn't matter, it seems like an overall sensitivity.
Thanks for all the other suggestions -- I'll tell her to try those OTC anti-nausea meds.

Hah, this is great! That means I'd get a BJ for getting the drugs AND for curing her. Although I'm not sure I'd want one after all that puking.

I was gonna say, that'd be pretty awful if she got nauseated while in the act

OK - 2 suggestions
1) it is a know AND MEDICALLY PROVED FACT in double blind placebo controlled studies that- Giving a blowjob PREVENTS you from throwing up after taking opiates
2) Sounds like for some reason she is getting dope sick real quick, give the Short half life of hydro /oxy group -even shorter via nose
If it where allegoric reaction to drug itself would kick in immediately. Could she have a real habit without you knowing ?
3) first try Immodium before she takes ORALLY (fuck the OTC anti-nausea meds, for now) stop ruining the nose- oxy extremely high Bio rate oral -longer legs
4) switch to different drug group? possible or no, see what happens
