soma withdrawl?

I have been using soma's recreationally for a very short time, but it seems like I have an abundance of withdrawls even after only using for 2 or 3 days. Maybe what im experiencing isnt really withdrawls but maybe after effects of using them. However, I was even using the prescribed amount on the bottle. Has anyone else experienced these type of symptoms?

What sort of symptoms are you having? I've been on Soma for a couple of years, perscribed. I've found that if I take them regularly (I usually don't, I use them more for flare-ups and wd's) that I have a huge increase in pain after I stop taking them. It seems to grow in intensity, the longer I go without taking them. But I wouldn't consider those real withdrawals, at least not compared to what I've experienced with Oxy's and Percs. Soma is known for a rebound effect and a lot of doctors aren't comfortable perscribing them for any long length of time. Another thing I've noticed is that my tolerance decreases very rapidly. I just went a week without a Soma and then when I took one the other night I was like a drunk!

the worst wds i ever went through were from somas. I ws taking 5-6 a night for about a 2 1/2 year span, and decided to quit. I could not sleep for about a week, my muscles acked all over, it was pure hell (had nothing to do with opaite wds, i was still taking opaties throughout this period, and they did not help)...because of this i will never take soma again..

I finally cut back to using soma only when muscle spasms just would NOT go away...like a few hours of suffering....because using every day caused HUGE rebound muscle spasms...

anyway, I went on a call about two years ago and the girl was taking about 40 to 50 PRESCRIBED somas a day! apparently these were legally prescribed as a step_DOWN from what she had been taking illicitly.

oh yeah, she was five months pregnant..:(

I guess that's why the doc prescribed, hoping he could get her off completely for the sake of some help in a normal live birth
