Was just wondering if any of you fine folks like them. Saw them play this Friday for the second time this year. A small club here in Jersey. The energy these three guy have on stage just is insane. They also played my favorite song I get it. Awesome song.

I was gonna say how that was my car. A '72 Chevelle. Cherry red with a black vinyl top. I bought it with 1800$ I had saved from working in a restraunt and myself and my father then got a big block and built it ourselves and shoved that bad boy in there with beautiful white ceramic headers and oh did I love that car.
Though my dad loved it more and we agreed to trade cars. HE gave me his 93 Z28 with all 190'000 miles that he put on it and I gave him the chevelle. A year later I had wrecked the Camaro into a telephone pole on the way to work on day in the snow and though it wasn't a great deal of damage it was enough to total it because of the high mileage. A few years ago he sold the Chevelle for 5,000$.
I only drove that Chevelle for a few months but boy was I the man riding into school every morning with that thing.
Good times.

Sorry. I know this has nothing to do with your thread....It just brought back some good memories.

Lol, I've never listened to them on their own, but they used to be on the road rash series of video games, and I really liked listening to them on that back in the day....

I hear ya Opiyum: first GF had a '70 SS 396 - mostly stock but very clean and very quick, beautiful car. Cute friend of hers had a very clean '68. Another friend of mine around that time (high school) had a ratty, primered '68 with a seriously pissed off 327, most aggro smallblock I've ever been in, man that car was fun. Big 'ol hole cut out of the tunnel for the shift lever, and the tranny was louder than the headers inside the car. Car was quick, easily mid-low 13s, and I like ratty, noisy, primered cars that stop time when the lights turn green..

Nothing to do with the band, but I'd bet they're Chevelle fans :)

Chevelle and nova were, are my #1 rods but being a painter all my life I had a 454 el camino that was based on the chevelle. Som body wanted me to post a pic but alas had none. I got a 411 posi rear end swap from a station wagon I can't remember if it was a chevelle body or not. Did alot to it as the money came in. One was tricking out the quadra jet carb. I got smaller front jets fron a 396 325 horses the rear jets were pressed in brass so I had to hand drill them to 80 thousenths. It was from hot rod mag street strip set up. Go slow good mileage, punch it and the gas would spill over and it would roar, the rear carb intakes were much larger than holley 750s. I wrecked it and put 68 cougar hideaway headlights on it, had to extend the front end 6-8 inches, it looked like a rocket intake. I was working on it in my driveway and the city towed it. Never got it back. Oh well,

Mmmmmmm.... Posi-traction.

Had a 4spd 73 Camullet last year for awhile. Like 50k on an Edelbrock crate motor rated at 350lb/ft. Used to park it on a narrow two way road, wide ass turning radius, well that's easy to get around with 350 torque and a 4spd, fuck a 5 point turn: 3k RPM, dump the clutch, and the car would just rotate on the spot, worked like a charm, everytime..

That car was so much fucking fun, nothing like having that kinda torque, NOW and a solid tranny and diff to back it up. I've been in faster cars, but that old camaro was no fucking slouch.

Glad I had to give it back, that thing was trouble brewing..

Chops, anybody, what's a Camullet? My Elcamino also spinned on the spot, no weight in the rear. Harder for the Camaro, it had the best weight break of any car, you punched the gas and it would lift up evenly at all four corners, sort of up up and away. Always wanted one, even more so now. Who knows when I get financially ahead maybe. No one knows the future. Later.

yes I like Chevelle(the band) although I sort have have bad memories associated with one of their cd's, long story, and has nothing to do with a bf at all. Actually it has to do with fucking up a vehicle(which seems to be the direction this thread is taking, cars.. ha ha)
