I've had neither, but wanna try both. I thought Versed was mainly availble only in hospitals and such as part of the "twilight" anesthesia.

I would say Versed because mainly i have never heard of Nitrazepam. I have had Versed with Morphine in the hospital for EGD's and Colonoscopy. Does Nitrazepam work the same way? And or what makes it different?:)

Versed will knock your peter in the dirt fo' sho' - I'd recommend versed but I can't recall what happened... seriously versed is an amnesiac drug. I once had a nurse tell me if I didn't want to talk too much or say the wrong thing before surgery (work-related security stuff) to ask not to be administered versed...

Anyway it was a pleasant flight... just don't remember much after I got to cruising altitude.

Versed is that beautiful wonder drug they give you right before surgery and general anesthesia. Ask for it next time you're going under the knife - just say you're really nervous ans scared. Make yourself hyperventilate to get your pulse and blood pressure up too.

Nitrazepam is a powerful hypnotic all the same, but from what I've it is not readily avalible in the United States.

Shaunclo,
Before you consider either, remember that Versed is a powerful drug that has an increased amnesic effect, more so than the other benzo's. Because of this it is a great drug for proceedures; Colonoscopy's, Endoscopy's, tooth extractions, etc. It has a short half-life, which makes it good for out-patient proceedures.
I don't recommend you take it alone, if you do decide to take it at all. I have not seen it in an oral form and from what I know of, it is only available in an IV form, which makes it that much more dangerous.

Versed has to be administered slowly. At least over 2 mins. If given to fast, it can lead to respiratory arrest very quickly. It can also bring about sleep quite quickly as well, so you want to make sure your in an area where you won't get hurt.

For any of us who have taken benzo's the curiosity factor is there, but I don't recommend Versed.

As far as Nitrazepam goes, it is not available in the U.S. anymore. It is used to bring about sleep quickly and increase duration of sleep. It is also used as an anticonvulsant. It is only available in oral form, 5mg, 10mg caps. I have not taken it myself and have not seen it used. I would imagine that as an Sedative-Hypnotic it will have the same effects as say Valium does. I have heard it is closer to valium.

So, just be careful. As I said, I would not recommend the Versed and if you do decide to do it, go slow at a low dose. It usually comes in injection form of; 1mg/ml or 5mg/ml. Do not go over 2.5 mg and it should be given very slowly, at least over 2 mins.

It is just not a drug that one should play with at home.

Actually both are pill form, but I decided to just stick to my valium script. But in the near future I am going to definitely have to get some of that shizzzznit. Versed it is!!

This is how it comes

VERSED/DORMICUM(Midazolam, Roche)7,5mg

Dormicum (midazolam/versed) is much stronger than nitrazepam, but but last only a 2 or 3 hrs. Nitrazepam, while still strong, lasts all night.

I've tried nitrazepam. You can buy it online, from an indian pharmacy. Swim has about 95 nitrazepam 10mg tablets. Swim finds them good for sleeping and regulating her sleep pattern but doesn't use them to get high. They're not really all that good but swim's not the most anxious person in the world.

I'm going to have to visit the dentist soon as I keep getting mild toothache. I'll ask for sedation as whatevercaine they normally gave me last time made me twich like crazy. I don't know what is used for sedation in the UK though.

I have a pack of nitrazepam sat right in front of me, managed to get them prescribed for insomnia here in the uk, theyr just a typical benzo, very similar to valium as they have a long halflife, (think its about 48 hours) great for sleeping, also great for a buzz during waking hours, never tried versed so i cant say anything, but my nitrazeys go really well with my H, theyr also really good for anxiety if not used for sleeping.

Having just been on versed to keep me from fighting the vent and the nurses also I would imagine since my hands were tied down. I culdn''t tell ya much except I know I am having a hard time remembering days and times and am confused about a lot of what happend. Course I'm confused a lot anywya LOL!

I can't see using it strictly for recreation unless you had such a small dose that it would not knock you out or put you in a blackout.

Whatever you decide, please be careful you just got back not too long ago. don't want to see you go anywhere again!

Niether, FLUnitrazepam (Rohypnol) rocks the hell out of any other benzo I've had. I believe you cannot get it over here though. Powerful shite!

Nitrazepam, just bc Versed is more of a "pre surgery" gig and mainly puts you to sleep whereas nitrazepam can be functionally useful, in other words, if you are coming off of meth or a lot of 'caine, you may want nitraazepam so you can come down nicely, but still be up. Versed'll knock you out, so if you wanted that then why not just take a bunch of zopiclone which is better as a sleeping pill in my opinion
