Great Deal with Direct TV $59 for everything!!!!!!!

This was awesome. Today Direct TV calls and Mom hands me the phone says talk to this guy. So the guy says you have basic satellite and we are offering you the season football pachage and the premium package With like 7 HBO 3 CINAMAX 4 STARZ 8 ENCORE 5 SHOWTIME 2 MOVIE CHANNEL FLIX SUNDANCE AND IFC and Sports package for a dollar less then basic for 5 months no contract, I can cancel at the end of the 5 months. Its already turned on $59.00 a month but through ATT we get basic for $53 so maybe it'll be a dollar less than that. I asked can my buddy call in for this and he asked does he have basic,I said yes, he said yes. Freakin lot of football this year, unreal.:D:D

I notice there's a huge rivalry between cable and satellite. Personally I have better experience with cable (more reliable, cheaper around here) but honestly i wouldn't mind if i had satellite. the fact that they compete is the only thing i care about, and you can get some good deals when they're competing for customers.

the only thing i don't like about satellite is the DSL usually isn't very good compared to a cable connection, particularly the upload. now for browsing and stuff you don't use much upload but for gaming and torrenting (trying to keep my ratio up) it's kind of important. less so with gaming than torrenting.

The price for setting up your computer on satellite was $500 when I checked it out ridiculous. It may have gone down this was 5 years ago.

Nah since the big bust in my neighborhood a year ago I don't get anything but my scripts and insurance has that. Well I have to pay for the balance of my script the insurance pays for 160 rox. and soma's covered an xanax. But the football I'm gonna enjoy I can see all the Raiders, Steelers, Jets, Giants and the best will be the playoffs. Man Sunday's are gonna be choice. The Dude said I have to buy the footbal package before the seasons over if I want the reduced rate next year. I know its not gonna be $59 but we'll see. Mom loves the Raiders so she already wants to see somebody with literature if ya get that. I should do some books. lol

What's the rate after five months? That's how they fuck you man-"oh yeah, cheap as fuck and all these channels for a few months-then you gotta pay motherfucker." Rates go up and you gotta pay individual fees on all that shit.

Blerg. I didn't really like satellite when I first moved out here. I live in the country so that was all they had when I moved in, and it went out all the time. The rep I talked to was a real dick and didn't try to win the sale at all because he knew it was the only service in the area.

I'm pretty happy with comcast. I get my tv and internet for pretty cheap and the wifi doesn't go out like it used to.

I was very concerned with that, there is no contract so after five months you can go back to the original price. But for the time being I get all that football and all those channels for less money than I'm paying now. Its a win win.

I remember when I had all the good channels and then my 3 months (thats how long you used to get to keep them) ran out and I cancelled them. Enjoy it while you have them!
