View Full Version : More or Less Water When Prepping Shot??

Title says it all. When prepping your shot do you prefer the least amount of water possible, or what?
With tar I use the least possible, just becuase i need to fit as much dope in the rig as possible. That shit looks like DARK syrup lol.
With coke I do like .15-.2 G shots and Ill have like 40-50 units in the rig when its ready to fire home. I noticed some people would use like 20-30 units with a similar size coke shot.
How do yall feel 'bout this? Poll maybe? I dont know how to accomplish that.

I have to use alot of water with tar, so I can see the register. I use alot fo water with everything tho, like the whole 1 cc. I usually load more coke than I;m going to do in one shot so I leave it watery so I can see the register thru all the blood from the first shot.

More, especially with tar, the more dilute the (slightly) less chance of abscess and the more neutral the shot.

How about specificly RE coke shots? Less water equals a more potent shot w/ equal amounts of drug? I know some peeps who feel this way. Do yall?

i think i always used just a little extra, to make sure i was getting all that i could, and too many horrible angry moments where the shot was too thick and fucked everything up.
especially with pills - if the cotton took this long slo-mo moment to soak i knew i was headed for disappointment.
whether any of it was real or not, i dunno, but it seem'd to do what i wanted better.

I always over water. Total dope percentage remaining in the cotton is the least (due to dilution) = unnoticable but undeniable slightly-stronger shot. Junkie optimism, maybe?
More bacteria in non-sterlie water, though. Big negative.

i always used a bit more water than others seemed to. i still think that the old harm reduction thing saying that more dilute solutions are easier on the veins (and all your internal systems) is true. and if some leaks or you miss your hit, that more dilute solution is MUCH easier (and less painful) on those surrounding tissues that hafta soak up that shit.
as to the theory about the less dilute, more potent shot feeling like it hits harder.... it's bullshit. i've shot more coke than i care to admit, and i've tried it both ways. a few times, i almost felt like the less dilute hit DID actually feel stronger. but i chalk that up to a mind-over-matter thing. there's the same amount of coke in 2 shots.... one more dilute, and one less so. the difference (about .3-.5cc's) is SOOOOO infinitessimal in comparison to the volume of blood in my system that i'm injecting it into! it's like saying that adding 2 more tablespoonfuls of water to a swimming pool will cause something like a massive flood situation (or a terrible change in the water temperature, or something like that). that hit, whether it's 0.2cc or 0.7cc, will be such a small amount in the overall volume of blood, that it will still hit the BBB and the heart and the everything-else at about the same time frame.
the only caveat in that coke-shooting question is this.... if you've been on a run and shooting coke for hours already (and like me, have small girly veins that get all leaky from overuse), the smaller volume shot can have an advantage. since coke is a vaso-constrictor (meaning that it causes your blood vessels to constrict, or be smaller), the smaller volume shot can be easier to get, just because there's less volume that you need to get into that vein before it gets leaky. that doesn't apply to dope of course, since that is a vaso-dilator.

Always used more water, during my bad times I would use 2cc of water per shot and tha twas usually two or three stamp bags and always htrew the water into the microwave for a few, unless I was sick then different ball game...

I agree with those who like to use more water.
I like to use more saline with my shots, in the interest of harm reduction. I started a poll not too long ago about how registered blood begins to clot after a while, and then I begin to worry about shoving blood clots into my system.
I notice that more concentrated solutions tend to make my blood more angry and clotty, while the more dilute solutions tends to keep my blood happier in the barrel until it is shoved back from whence it came.
I've never had any reason to push concentrated shyte.

I'm not going to say when, where, or how, but there are vials of bacteriostatic water that you can buy, it's pretty much the cleanest water you can find...

Damn man, I thought you were a junkie. You never used the old "water in the hand from a nasty sink in a nasty bathroom in a nasty gas station" trick before? What a shame... :(

I always use more water than needed as well as the rest of you. For the same reasons listed.
But Highway man, Im not sure Microwaving water is a good idea. I understand why you do it.
But you can do a nasty little experiment. Microwave a glass of water and boil a glass (or boil a glasses worth and then put in the glass ) Leave these to sit overnight. When you leave these sit long enough you will notice the microwaved water turns a nasty yellowish!! Anyways, never completely trusted those harmful waves. But alas I still use the ole nuke oven.

one of SWIM's buddies told him when he first started using that it is 10iu to each bag and he has kinda stuck to that, works well to him and he says less he can miss lol

i dont think that less water equals more drugs equals more potent shot..........its the equal amount of drugs in more water which is all going to one place...maybe a half second later......

However much water I think I need to get the rest of the oxy out of the spoon! ;)
I heard people swearing by "less water, bigger rush".. but, as the solution gets diluted quickly after injection, doesn't really matter.
