This has probably been asked before, but is there a place where the "opio no mo's" are listed?
I have been tied up IRL a lot lately and realized I had not seen a couple of people's posts in a while. I went to the Juggla's page and realized he is OPIONOMO.
Is it kosher to ask what happened?
I know the guy was getting on bupe, but its always weird when someone just disappears.
Thanks!
Will

We try to actually show some restraint, once the fighting is over, and someone no longer has access: if it's temporary, then we don't want people saying things that will just cause more hassles when they come back...and if it's permanent, it still would be meanspirited to say cruel things when they can't defend themselves...sometimes people are having lots of personal problems, or are just hypersensitive or haven't a lot of online experience, and get themselves in all kinds of shit on here, which they never really intended...
So no list up front, and we don't usually comment on the reasons, (with exceptions, if it seems it would be useful)...but anyway, the majority of people never have a problem, and sometimes those who *do* have problems, realize this is a strange site, and we have all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds, and we just want to coexist, and moderators just want to keep site up and rollling and reasonably comfortable for all to post, without fear of retaliation...
Some obviously haven't a clue, and they never last, but sometimes it's just a temporary thing...

Duckfeet pretty much summed it up...
You can asked what happened, but we usually won't divulge any details, out of respect for the person who was banned (either temporarily or permanently). If we give you (or anyone) the reason for banning, it is only our side of the story, and the bannned member does not have an opportunity to share their side of the story.
As for Juggla, he'll be back in about 25 days or so. When he comes back, he can tell you what happened if he so chooses.

Ok, so is this kosher? Lets say I was asked about a member who was NoMo'd, and I knew information about why they were banned for some reason. Would it be inappropriate for me to give a short answer? Or should I say something to the effect of "I can't really talk about it"?

I wouldn't start a thread about...but I don't think if it was discussed in a VM anyone would take exception to it.
I just think it's not fair to talk about the reason someone was banned when they can't share their side of the story, but that's my personal beliefs, and not site rules.
So yeah, I guess it's kosher, just keep in VMs if you wanna talk about it.
