The most annoying thing in the world is when one gets nice a prepared for a good rush, registers the vein, but somehow it ends up missing - maybe this is due to there being too many holes in the vein? Because in the dream it definitely registered.. Anyways, I was just wondering is subcutaneous / intramuscular bioavailability the same is iv? I would assume that it is since it bypasses any hepatic metabolization, but one website says that the iv dose is .5 mg versus im/sc being 1 - 1.5 mg, anyone know if this is correct?

Im a vet and we were always told - depending on the drug, that the bioavailability about the same for IM, abit less for SC, but yes you obviously wouldnt get the rush... And when they give you dose rates they often increase it a lttle for SC as opposed to IV... but yes, nothing more bloody annoying... almost worth crying over. :) Once i was really sick and just scored 2g of the best shit i have had in my whole life (was only around for about 3 days), anyway i was about to go to work, mullede it all up in the syringe, was all ready to get nice and blotto, pulled back the syringe to get out air, and accidentally pulled the whole plunger out... and watched my awesome 2g smack sink into the concrete... Its been years and i still cry over that!

I would check out Opana's webpage because they have the BA.
Is SC a safe way to shoot pills? I know that IM runs a huge chance of abscesses and I don't want to IV anymore, but i've never heard much about SC. Is the rush similar to snorting? it seems like it would be since the onset isn't as quick as IV. Idk, someone tell me what's up.

Is SC safe? No. Then again when did any of our preferred forms of enjoyment become considered safe :). Now when I first started to get over the needle stigma I did SC injections because I had it in my head that it was safer. I never had an abscess or an infection but I also wasn’t careless about it, and I do consider myself somewhat lucky. Now for harm reduction time. It doesn’t bleed so the risk for infection is increased and you are at a much greater risk for abscesses especially if its pills. There is no rush with subcutaneous injections. None. Zero. Also the onset for SC Injections are not as quick as IV (I’m not jumping down your throat, promise.) I’d expect at least a 5-15 minute wait before you really start to feel it. Really in hindsight (which is always 20-20 remember) it really isn’t worth it in my opinion. If you like snorting pills, do that. If you’re addicted to the rush, there’s only one way to go.

i can see most of my veins but they dont pop, so it's a guessing game of how deep/what angle, and more often than not, i'll puncture the fucker and get a lot of blood, but i'm not really 'in'. makes me wanna scream sometimes.
for heaven's sake, don't skin pop pills, it's bad enough iv'ing. my friend goes to na with 30+ year habit guy who spent the first couple years just skin popping and being happy with that, no bad results, but he was getting good dope, not pills.
i worry about abscesses from accidentally missing, much less doing it regular

As OpiateQueen says, I'm fairly certain the bioavailability is about the same, but you wont get the rush. HOWEVER, if you do miss the vein, go straight to the nearest bathroom and run hot water (as warm as comfortable) over the injection site. The more pressure the better, because the water pressure "massages" the area, so if you could use the shower massage setting on a shower head, that would be ideal. The heat and "massaging" allow more of the drug to be absorbed into the blood stream, and faster, so you get a slight rush. The rush is minor compared to if you didn't miss the vein, but it's definitely worth going through this process if you do happen to miss the vein.

OPIATEQUEEN, You constantly refer to your self a a vet/ veterinarian. Just wondering in you have completed to 7-8 year+ of college level course which enable you to became a VET WHICH BASICALLY IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR FOR - animals basically
"Many careers are open to those with veterinary degrees (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, D.V.M.)"
if so you should easily to find be able to find job.
if NO,...you are not a VET. But even then you still should know what hold true for ANIMAL And Drugs does not hold true ALWAY FOR HUMANS AND DRUGS-
HENCE FAULTY INFO is not IN THE NAME OF HARM REDUCTION.
skin popping and IM are to total different thing. Everything depending on drugs involved and good method used in SC and IM, and in generally SC has much lower BA than IM. - THINGS like blood vessel availability, for god sakes!!!
Not you OPiate Queen , BUT the others - how about links to back up your options???
