Some people on here may know my history with Benzos.
I used to fuck around with them all day and night and had 3 seizures from w/ds. Last time was in January and I swore off of them - Till last Mon. You see, I have been hooking my sister up with xanax and valium and I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING but i took xanax for a week. No more then .5 - 2 mg a day but still. Very stupid of me and now I am scared to death. Is one week at those doses enough to cause another seizure? I dont know if I will live through it again...

I don't think so Wisegal. Of course I'm not a doctor and I don't know your medical history... But I do this all the time myself. I've kicked benzo habits many times and it's been my experience that one week of Xanax use will only cause a couple days of mild withdrawals. Insomnia and some general anxiety for a couple days and if you have (extra) opiates or drink alcohol regularly you probably won't notice much at all.
A short-lived minor inconvenience...

I doubt its enough. Seizures are usually casued from long long long term usage at moderate doses.
Of course no one can tell you for sure, and I've noticed that once you have had a long history and experienced WD's from a drug, it always seems easier to WD from when you do the said drug again.
Good luck.

Thanks, I have noticed that as well but read online somewhere that xanax withdrawal becomes worse each time and the person is less likely to survive it. There is just a lot of information out there that is SCARY to read, and its enough to make me not take a benzo ever again!!!
Im having headaches, insomnia and bad anxiety.

From my experience Wisegal, no it won't give you wd's bad enough to have a seizure. I took xanax daily from 2001-2003 or 2004 and quit them summer of that year. Not by choice either. I went through horrifying withdrawals--terrifying hallucinations with insomnia. No seizure though oddly but I had neurontin.
I still play around with them for about 5 days out of the month with very little side effects. Maybe a little grouchyness and restless sleep for a few nights.

I don't think being on Xanax for a week at those doses is going to cause seizures, so I wouldn't worry about that.
I do know though that once you've had a seizure, you're more prone to have them again. So, for instance, if you were to get back into benzos heavily, then w/d from them without weaning, you probably would have a seizure, and probably more serious than the last.
I've never been addicted to benzos, because I've just never taken them for any significant length of time. Like, this last time I went through 26mg of Klonopin and 16mg of Ativan in 9 days. I was very very sedated, and very very outgoing and talkative, but I wasn't blacked out. I remember those nine days. But, the point is, if it were that easy to have a seizure, I would have had one, and I didn't.
So, all in all, I think you'll be okay, as long as you don't get into benzos heavily again. I really do think you'd have to take them for more than a week (probably a month or more) at moderate doses to have any serious problems. But, like I said, since you've had 3 seizures already, I think you should be extremely careful because if you were to have another seizure, it might be more serious, as I think each time you have one, the worse they get.
