I'm not a huge phan but I dig'm. Been to a few shows over the years and have a few real good recordings. The weather will be perfect. Should be a good time. I haven't tripped in a big venue since Waters toured. Phish does some Lou Reed songs. Wouldn't mind some of that. Yup, I'm psyched!

Ewww. Sweet. Hope you have a great time my man.

So are they touring? Will they be coming to a town near me? If so I think I may have to go myself. I've never seen phish nor am I really a fan but I always wanted to go to one of their shows.

I haven't kept up with them in years now, but I used to really like them. The one cd of theirs I had, A picture of Nectar? was outstanding. I used to have a bootleg tape of them playing jazz standards that was also very good.

Anyways, enjoy the show.

That was awesome. 1st set was exactly what you'd expect with a really good David Bowie. 2nd set was "a whole nutha level". Pretty wowed by those guys this time.I don't know all the songs but I know they played fluffhead suzy greenberg antelope. Quite the rock show.

omg Drowned, Run Like An Antelope, Fluffhead amazing. It was really nice to hear Brian and Robert too... Farmhouse was a piss break. I also loved the First Tube encore. It was weak at first but ended strong. That was so much fun I think I'm just gonna drive to the next show in a few hours.

show tomorrow is just as large so tickets will probably be < $30 ea. and tickets to SPAC might be $50-$60 but I'm definitely going... Maryland: we'll see how my finances look hahahaha

and also I actually found $1 percs today and turned them down so I'm still enjoying the sober life! :)

are you fucking kidding me? Songs written by Phish: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Phish_songs

They do 1 or 2 covers each show because they have talent and want to make the shows unique. Can you imagine how bored they would get if they played the same songs over and over? They usually don't even take breaks between shows and just play day after day.

Also if you have more fun not remembering the music, then you shouldn't be there.

A friend of mine went and saw them last month.
Evidently on this tour they are picking albums from various artists and playing them in their entirety.
When he went they played the Stone's "Exile on Main Street."

They only did that with the Rolling Stones this year. It's something they do every Halloween with a different artist.

Hey Morfiend, can you post the tour loc/dates?

I was once a huge Phish fan. At first, my personal favorites were Chalkdust Torture, Tweezer (and the reprise). I had ALL of their CD's in my collection, and didn't realize what they were really about until I went to my first show (alone - A long time ago). All the songs I thought were kind of stupid on the CD's became some of the best jams I've ever heard live in concert. You enjoy myself and Fluffhead and Run like an Antelope...

I loved the music. I just never could get into the lifestyle. Between the ages of 15 and 25 I was a bad person. A criminal. I couldn't even let some of my closest associates know I listened to Phish. I have one friend who just got out after serving 13 years and the first thing he called me was a "fuckin hippie" (jokingly). I loved the music, but it wasn't cool to love "hippy" music at the time.

What the fuck am I talking about? I hope somebody get's it...

I really like their new song Time Turns Elastic, but they rarely play it as good as the first time they ever did live.

Albany was one of the better TTEs, but I still think Boston 5-31-09 was the best. It seems like Trey doesn't know what to do with the solo lots of the times at the end (which is by far the best part of the song). I still think it's their best new song. I like Kill Devil Falls too... they played it perfectly 11-25-09. The best Backwards Down the Number Line all year was by far 7-31-09 and there was an excellent Tweezer played in the same show. Their newest song Windy City was really good 8-11-09... I kinda expected they would play it again but they haven't.

Have fun man! I would have loved to catch a show on this tour, unfortunately they are all too far north. I've been looking at the setlists and there have been some crazy bustouts! Crimes of the Mind the other night would have been amazing. Have a great show, wish I was there!

My husband went to that show. He tried to drag me along, but, sorry, not my scene! He was majorly stoked, though. Said it was a great show.
