Activated Carbon?

Can you use Activated Carbon to clean up Black Tar or will it absorb the goodies and Bad ?

I wouldn't do that. It'll absorb/adsorb the good along with the bad.

Filtering it from an alcohol solution will get it fairly clean. Let the alcohol evaporate before using of course.

Thanks Gimpy , Yea , thats what I thought but needed it confirmed . Would you be a little more specific about the alcohol solution filtering procedure ... never heard that one ! Thanks GetinLow
