 Swim was given a bottle of risperdal, and told it was a tranquilizer, any good?

Is this the right forum?

I think it's an Anit-psychotic.
I know my uncle takes it for his Schizophrenia.
Whether you get high from it I don't know but somehow I doubt it.

EDIT: Well I was right about what it is and man the side effects of it (however slim they may be) seem absolutely contrary to what people like us are looking for.

And yeah this is the right place for your question.

Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia (including adolescent schizophrenia), the mixed and manic states associated with bipolar disorder, and irritability in children with autism.
Common side effects include severe anxiety, akathisia, sedation, dysphoria, insomnia, sexual dysfunction, low blood pressure, muscle stiffness, muscle pain, tremors, increased salivation, and stuffy nose.
But by no means dose it fall under thebenzodiazepine class a.k.a. benzo's or of evenbarbiturates class of drugs, I would seem to me that your doctor thinks that you might have some form of schizophrenia, is this the case?
Too me it seems like a hard core durg to use just for sedation see how that's just a side effects, there are much better drugs to ude for that. Unless you are schizophrenia, or have Tourette syndrome, autism, or hard core bipolar disorder.
If you don't have one of there or somthing of the like I would ask your doctoe what he is useing a heavy hitter like neuroleptic anti-psychotic just for the use of sedation "foroff-label use like this" Nw that is unless you have some of the thing I brought up before like schizophrenia ECT...
If you dont have any of these thing I would find a doctor that knows what thre doing other hen giveing out these new atypical antipsychotics like candy, that just rot your mind away, es there is a place for them, that that place is for the all out insane schizophrenia's!

i know this is old but i have to comment, when i was younger and gobbling up any pills that looked good i ate 9mg of risperdal and that was the one time in my life i honestly considered suicide. thinking back now it was almost like WD with the tired but restlessness and dysphoria. but honestly 100x worst than WD. If it didnt go away in afew hours i prob would have done something really bad. good thing u chucked em. for sure

Yea it was a throw away but it was hard they were small and looked damn good. I had one in my hand and tasted it saying one can't hurt. Then I thought how small an orange barrel hit of acid was and said better not. I was more concerned with mixing with my other meds. I saved the other one serzone, lots of them but didn't try any yet.

neuroleptics(antipsychotics) all suck so hard. I occasionally talk to people who pop seroquel like candy, ugh. I just can't relate to that.

They actually can be pretty handy in small doses for sleeping off stimulants, just as effective as benzos imo, knock you right out. no recreational value though.
