It's just so odd to me give or take 15 years ago L.S.D. was every where 3 to 7 bucks a hit, good ass shit too, and when I say everywhere I mean everywhere, almost every pot dealer was a trip deal too, it just went hand in hand, now I hear kids say all the time "if theirs one drug I ever want to try its L.S.D.", It's really got my mind warped how rare it is anymore, and if I do hear of some one getting it and hear there story about it I can tell right away it was E mix with K or something shity like that, Now I myself would not touch that stuff these days, I had my fun in the sun you could say, really way to much fun I'm sure most would say but I still would like to try pure ALD-52 , to the people who was around at that time and in the middle of all it, think a time will come once more like that? The scene was real cool and layed back most the time unlike the H and pham. scene where you got to watch your back all the time. I know that the decline in trip is because of the missile silo in Kansas bust and the smaller cooks that were helped out by them there, but shit I would have though someone(s) would have started something large scale like them by now, but I guess not.I would say maybe it has something about the times we live in now, but that's bullshit, cause everything that everything is of course still about money.

Changing tastes,changing market.Plus acid is hard to make,you need expensive equipment,hard to access chemical precursors and quite a bit of expertise.Basically,it's a lot easier to make speed.

Acid is making a huge comeback, go to any jam band music festival and you will find a lot of acid, some good some bad, some fake, but mostly good stuff and the people with ethics sell you the stuff for basically what they paid for it. Acid isn't something to try to profit off in my opionion, its a tool, its a healing chemical that should be spread.

The Pickard bust did the most damage, and also scared a lot of cooks (find leonard pickards site -missle silo guy- its amazing stuff) I used to buy books and books and books for almost nothing, grams where 1500usd... and now, I wouldnt even know where to start.

But as stated above, the ergomine tartrate is incredibly hard to source, and speed and E is MUCH easier to produce.

whenever my friends bought in large quantities the last few years, the shit was either dirty as fuck or some other hallucinogen on blotter. the only time it was clean and strong was when theyd get the occasional 10 strip in the mail from alabama.

one particular sheet was very strong but just 'wrong', even the hardheads spooked. i ended up in the psych ward after 3-5 days, the stuff wasnt speed but it sure wasnt acid. people crashed cars, were seeing demons, one tried to off himself the next week, i wish i knew what the shit was. ended my tripping career regardless. DOB/DOM maybe, who knows.

2c-i and its ilk have finally made it up this way, there was even some decent looking dmt crystals (which is amazing in a little northern city) but after the supplier of the 'bad strong' shit got busted last year i havent even seen the garbage blotters around anymore.

This always made sense to me. The Pickard/Apperson bust in 2000 corresponds to the last time I even saw any LSD...
The DEA stated that those two guys were producing 90 % of the world's acid. That's a little hard to believe but it does go with the last times it was around here or even in the nearest large city closest to me where it was very, very plentiful on the cheap for this young SWIM.

the last stuff I saw from from the Czeck republic, and was weak at around 50 mics per dose....

I think the prolific supply of research chems a few years ago bungled the LSD market for a bit....and now you have dragonfly being used to scam people looking for LSD.

I was lucky enough to get initiated on LSD in 1986 when I was a runaway in Berkeley CA....that was back when LSD could be bought on the street easily....and if you knew the guy dipping sheets....you could get some potent stuff.
that stuff was amazing to be sure...psychedelic for hours and hours, and being in Berkeley was the perfect place to be out of your head.
that was when the grateful dead was still touring, and the old baba deadheads were still milling around.

everyonce in awhile I hear of someone selling good stuff....but its a rarity to be sure.

The missile silo bust definitely made a huge dent in the availability of good L; however, it is still around and there is still really good stuff out there. It can almost always be found at jam band festivals and such....It may be harder to find but it is most definitely still around. I think everyone should be able to try really good L at least once in their lifetime, I wouldn't be the person I am today without it!

I still grab a little here and there at the shows.
Although the amount per dose is much less than back in the good ole days.......I still start with a small amount just to make sure........I don't think I'd survive a "real" trip.

Same here.In the late 80s till the early 90s I used ta get 10 sheets fer $500- $1000.I then would sell them fer 2 fer $5 or $150-$200 a sheet I haven't seen any sense then.A friend of my got some last year and paid $10 fer 1 hit he said it was good though If I only would've know I could make a killing now.I know shrooms are still around fer about $25 an 1/8.
I don't think I could handle takin acid now mabe a small amount of shrooms but I don't like ta be that out of control fer so long.

i'm glad this thread turned up again, was at the club last night, had a set at 3am and needed something to stay up... all i had was 10mgs of dexedrine and 1/4 (yes that's right 1/4) of a tab of acid. little did i know that was some good acid. i'm used to getting high off a 1/4 but last night was fucking ridiculous, i was fucked! completely froze in front of the crowd, couldn't figure out the mixer, fucked up mixing a few tracks & had to pass it on to a mate. it wasn't a complete train wreck but close. can't believe it, 1/4 of a trip!

Then, a friend, and an excellent dealer, got this connection in San Fransisco. I got to go there with him once. It was in a trailer park. There was a mobile home acid lab there. We were getting sheets and sheets and sheets to take back to Chicago.

I lost contact with that friend around 2000. Last I heard he was all clean and sober, then last, last I heard he was shooting dope again. With him went the connection because he ended up oweing the guys in CA lots of money. But that was no missile silo, and the acid was extremely good quality.

I used to have lots of money back then. Lots and lots... and I blew it all like a rock star. Now it's just all momories. And I should feel lucky because a few guys had to do A lot of time over all that acid we were bringing from San Fran. One of my best friends did 7 years over a sheet! 100 hits... But I warned him at the time. I didn't like the guy he was dealing with. My friend never tried to flip on me. It just always seemed to us like something you do NOT do. I'm suprised it happens so much today.

Tripped for the first time in 1972 I believe. Purple Microdot. I remember it well. Great trip. Ended up at one of my friends house watching his aquarium for a few hours thinking it was a "Deep Sea Adventure" movie.

Most fucked up I've ever been off LSD was when I went to the Ozark Mountain Music Festival in 1974. Got some fake Window Pane on arrival but shortly after that a guy came around selling Mr. Natural (4-way blotter hits) I did a quarter, waited about 20 minutes and didn't get off. I proceeded to do another quarter. The second I swallowed it I got off on the first.

I saw multicolored metal bars shoot out of the ground, straight into heaven. All the people looked reptilian with bright orange scales that would change to green every so often. There were also fish swimming through the sky. The whole scene reminded me of the album art for the band Yes.

I was at a cool place, despite the 100 degree temps, and with good friends. Plus there was some fantastic bands playing. One of my best trips. I had quite a love affair with LSD for a couple of years. Then as suddenly as I started I lost the appetite for it. Never had a bad trip. Just some intense ones.

And I had a similar experience as you, Mr W, with Mr. Natural, a few years later (79). I doubled up after about half an hour before heading up to Mel Markon's in Chicago. The guy driving was not just drunk, but dronk, and I was tripping my brains out...It was kind of tricky then, going from NB Lake Shore Drive (nyuk, nyuk) to the SB local lanes, and the next thing I knew, we were headed the wrong way up the exit ramp!

Somehow, the driver got us off the ramp. Finding parking up in Lincoln Park right near the lake was usually impossible...when we went up to Mel's (where I could drink...they'd just raised the legal limit and I went from legal to illegal) sometimes we parked a mile away. I saw a spot and shouted, "Park here!" and while my buddy struggled to parallel park the car, I tried to parallel park my brain. I told myslef, even if we spent the rest of the night wandering around the MOON, looking for this place, at least I was out of that car.

Finally, the car was parked, and we clambered out. Driver was still laughing to himself. I shook my head and looked up: We'd parked directly in front of Mel Markon's. It was the only time I or any of my other friends ever got that spot! Amazing.

Also, Papa V, according to Wiki (so you know it's good), one of Pickard's big customers was "Petaluma Al," not far from SF. So you never know. :confused- (The missile silo was never actually used for production. The cheese-eater who flipped on Pickard brought the lab there while Pickard was traveling. It was while they were moving it out to its proposed location that the hammer came down.)

The last time I dosed was at a concert by the Chicago Band, D.O.S.E., in Bucktown. I think that was the last time...What a long, strange trip it was.

I have eaten lots of acid since the early nineties and we got some of the strongest, cleanest L a few years back (2006) at Reggae on the River festival in Humboldt County. It was tie-dyed blotter paper, very thick, and the guy said it was "needlepoint", straight from "family". My wife and I were high for a day and a half, no shit off one tab, amazing visuals, patterns, and colors. Needlepoint LSD is some crazy stuff:D

Man in that article it said that people were paying $20 buck a hit for paper, thats some insane shit right there, I don't think I ever seen it for over $7, that is unless it was a x3 gel cap or some shit weird like that.

grateful dead end tour. Phish picked up some followers, but nothing like the dead. Now it's about greed, and people claiming to be family just to snag an extra buck. There are good people out there. You'll know if the price is no more than 2-3 bucks a hit. Vials, no more than 250-300 at the most(even free times :)). I've seen some asshole's trying to sell vials for $900, also claiming it's "family acid". Know your source is all.

The '94 lsd was my first trip, with my brother who was in highschool at the time. Good, good times.

There's a resurgence of cid coming very soon(there's already a slight one). I can't wait to be part of it.
