Codeine Sulfate IM injection help

SWIM has many pills of codeine sulfate. Swim is wondering how to administer an intra-muscular injection on codeine sulfate to itself. From the people that have tried this, is it better that just chewing and swallowing them. Swim likes dillies and oxys, but has not used them in over a year since there is no supply. So Swim has these codeine sulfate pills and no tolerance. what would give the most bang for swims buck. Thanks for the help. I am a newbie on this site.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I'd read that you couldn't inject codeine. Sorry I don't know the answer, but wanted to throw that out there so you would wait until somebody with knowledge chimes in. And maybe a little on the topic of IM'ing pills too. Take care and be well, bro~!

Google it. I don't advocate pill injection, and IV codeine is a big no-no, pulmonary edema very common.,,,IM or SC injection is performed regularly, though....I just googled it and saw numerous sources indicating parenteral use.

IMing pills is a BIG FAT ABSCESS WAITING TO HAPPEN. When you crush pills and intra muscularly inject them it leaves fillers sitting in the muscle which is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
I'm sorry, but unless you are one of the few that can get a buzz on codiene, you're not going to get much fun out of these.

I was also wondering why all research says codeine phosphate is used for IM injections. While codeine sulfate is used orally. What is the difference between codeine sulfate and codeine phosphate (other than the obvious). Thanks a lot for the knowledge.

Codeine used to be used in IV form back in Howard Hughes' day. They stopped because so many would get fatal allergic reactions to it IV.

Also, morphine orally gets destroyed by the liver, where as codeine is turned into morphine by the liver, so it's actually better to just swallow it.

Also, doesn't codeine require the cytochrome P-450 to convert to morphine? Isn't that the stuff that grapefruit juice stimulates the production of, which is why GF juice is a potentiator when consuming pods? I've also read that there is a ceiling to codeine metabolization via the liver. NOt sure how any of this relate to the op, but there it is.
