View Full Version : Naltrexone use for chipping

For years I have been able to chip successfully. Recently, I gave in to the urge to use and thought, "Oh well, I can do the taper when I'm done with it".
And that's where I'm at now - on 3 mgs (don't laugh) and on my way to 0. But I'm a realist and know that sooner or later, I'll be thinking of my next chip, so ...
I don't have access to Fent or anything really short-acting and wondered if it would be worth the trouble to try to acquire some Naltrexone.
When my tolerance gets way down, I can feel H for about 24 hours. Sometimes, there is nausea with that, too. I would rather "turn it off" after a few hours using Naltrexone and stop a habit from developing so quickly.
Is my plan feasable and if so, how does one acquire Naltrexone?

No response from anyone, eh? I guess that just the thought of Naltrexone is enough to send shivers down your spine - I get that.
Plus nobody wants to shorten the experience. You must think I'm a bit conflicted and you'd be right.

I was able to get a few ampules of narcan after taking a safety course at my local needle exchange. My only question about your plan is... Wouldn't narcan send you into W/D even if you didn't have a habit? Wouldn't it block your bodies internal opiates as well?

I don't see why it would - some folks are subjected to a "Naltrexone Challenge" to prove they are not dependant on opi's and I haven't heard about undue sufferng. I know someone with an implant and he's just peachy.
I seem to be experiencing more nausea these days in search of that satisying feeling - it would be nice to turn if off. Stopping my endorphins from down-regulating with this drug may just be the ticket to less suffering later.
But thanks, I'll check with the closest needle exchange and find out what their policy on this is. I'd rather not have to inject it, either.
Other applications like being too stoned to drive ... have an antagonist and it may save a life. I like the control aspect, especially if you're trying to keep off but you slip up. Maybe I'm being unrealistic, i dunno. Better lots of regular tiny withdrawal symptoms than one biggie that freaks you out, say I.

Yeah, the Narcan I have is meant for muscling. (At least that's how it was taught at the narcan safety course). I like having it in case of emergencies, BUT... my wife always threatens to narcan my ass when I get too high :)

Brand name is Revia, I think Narcan is Naloxone. Revia is available from the same good people on the net that slang soma, tramadol, and the like, I believe.
even the slighest tiny ammount of opiates would send one into wd..

Regarding narcan, I can take opiates while nalaxone is in my system without having adverse affects, but if i take nalaxone while opiates are in my system i get sick. doesnt matter if i'm not habituated, its just because they're in my bloodstream at the time
I'll research, its an interesting question
