So two weeks ago since my doc couldnt fit me in my doc scripted me 120 roxi 30s for a two week supply, and it was written on the sript two week supply and my two weeks were up yesterday. My pharmacy says it was a 1 month supply and i get 240 a month. They say I have two more weeks til I can fill the full two week supply.

What are my options here call the doc and request dilaudid or oxyfast to hold me over for two more weeks?

What should I do?

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

Call doctor and have him inform pharmacy may be your only option.

You can also ask the pharm to pull the original script that you brought in to fill. They should have it as most are required by law to keep them for a certain amount of time(not sure about your state mine is two years)they can go back and look it up.I have had to have them do it before because they didnt put the refill on the med. when they filled it.The girl came out with the scripts for the date of fill and had to search thru them one by one but she found it and I did have a refill.

thats what I would do.Ask them to search out the original script if they give you any grief just tell them the dr wrote it for 2 weeks and most likely what happened was when the tech entered the script the assumed 120 was a 30 day supply and entered it that way. This should be even easier to look up and find because the laws are pretty strict on keeping the used scripts and such(if they can find mine and it was antibiotic ear drops :p you shouldnt have any issue)and call the dr office too and let them know they filled the script but put a 30 day supply instead of 15..see if they can call or if they have a copy but only after you have the pharm look for it.Go there(the pharm) dont call and let them do the look up before you have to drag in the dr office as its the pharms mistake.

Good luck

Go up to the counter, grab the pharmacist by the neck of his shirt, say, "Fill my f***ing script", Then smash his head against the counter (so he knows you mean business).

----For Real though ...

Go to a different pharmacy.

I had this happen. The pharmacy called the doc and he changed the dosage instructions to fit into a 2 week situation. All was fine.

They store images of the rx in your profile....
My doc said he didn't know I was getting an rx from another doc and tried cutting me off....I knew he wrote on my Jan script "noted rx's from Dr.Z**** authorizing fill" so I went to the pharmacy, told them the date of the Jan. fill and they pulled up a copy of the original rx in 10 seconds.....

What were the directions on the bottle?? If it was written take 8 rimes per day, how can they argue that it is a 30 day supply, unless your doc wrote "must last 30 days" a lot of times dr. will write "take up to x amount per day" but them write it must last 30 days....

So you get 8 per day (240 per month divided by 30 days=8 per day) your rx of 120 should last 15 days.... Simple math here yet a pharmacist who went through years of schooling can't divide or multipy???

If they still fight it call your doc and just tell him the pharmacy is refusing to fill it saying it is a 30 day supply...Normally 120 IS a 30 day supply and it is possible the tech entered it wrong like someone else said....Simply pulling the original RX should clear up any confusion...I would do this in person so you can see the copy of the rx yourself. Let us know how it works out for ya

i dont really understand,

CIIs need a new triplicate everytime they are despinsed, so if you are out of your 2 week supply, then you should be getting a new script to fill for the next 2 weeks, so the Dr should give you one.

It is not dr shopping to get a script for CIIs from the SAME DR. Say a dr could write you for 120 Roxis, then the next week could wright you for 120 more, this could happen if you loose a script or your meds, or you are going out of town and wont see him before your next refill date, but sometimes if you tell the dr that you lost a script they think you are seekin pills and stricter places will etither make you fill out a police report to contiune treatment or just drop your flat out. if that pharmacy is giving you shit, just take it to a nother place to fill it, this is not illegle just what you have to do when one place is giving you guff, i would think the only other problem you would have if you are trying to fill on insurance   , what normally happens when you fill

I JUST had the (almost) EXACT same thing happen to me last month.. only because of the oxy ir shortage, my doctor had written me two scripts for the SAME med, since the pharmacies hardly ever had the entire # of pills in stock. So, I dropped off BOTH scripts at the same pharmacy and told them to fill one and then when they got the rest in, call me to pick up the rest... the tech said "well you can't get it for 30 days anyway, your insurance won't fill it". FUCK YOU!! I got the script back and took it to another pharmacy and had no problem.

Take it to another pharmacy... as long as it's okay with your insurance, it'll get filled.
