Being that the Benzodiazepines are not soluble in water (there may be some that are that I am not familiar with, I am unsure) they cannot be injected using practical means and their ability to be bioavailable via insufflation is debatable to say the least. I have heard of stellar reports of intranasal dosages of Rophanyl (sp) but even these could be due to the fact that the drugs are going to make their way to the GI tract in the process of the "drip" so that may well be responsible for the activity seen; I am unsure. Either way there has long been needed a method of reaching peak plasma concentrations in as short a period of time and I think I may have stumbled acrossed a method of doing just that.
Anyways, the Benzodiazepines are very soluble in ethyl alcohol and tinctures (drugs dissolved in an alcohol solution) deliever drugs to the system faster than the same drugs administered without the alcohol. So I got to thinking: why not crush your benzo pills into a fine powder and add to a shot glass, fill with a higher proof wiskey, and let it sit for like 15 - 20 minutes stiring everynow and then and just slam it back on an empty stomach? I would place a good bet that said that the alcohol solution would contain the majority of the Benzodiazepines and that the gritty sediment at the bottom of the empty glass would be little more than your fillers and binders... I would also assume that effects would be felt within 15 minutes, reach peak levels faster, and wear off quicker (provided you didn't continue drinking).
I passed my idea on to a freind who is currently on Benzodiazepine thearapy and he went about pulverising 5 mg Valium, 1.5 mg Xanax, and 0.250 mg of Halcion and went about my specifications using Canadian Mist whiskey (which is only 80 proof, I would have went higher). His conclussions were pretty much right on target with what I had assumed would be achieved, although he said he had never taken such a nasty (bitter with sediment) shot in all his life and that he noticed that he got alot more "blackout" activity using this method as opposed to taking the same amount of medication in pill form.
Those who don't know: a dose of 20 - 30 mg of Ritalin a half hour to 45 minutes prior to dosing with large amounts of benzos will significantly reduce or even prevent the loss of memory they can produce. I would assume that Amphetamines would serve the same purpose, but would most likely add their own flavor to the mix that Ritalin wouldn't... possible Cocaine could too if you felt like doing coke every 10 - 25 minutes throughout the experience, can't see anything productive in that. IMO benzos are best served after the coke run... if that's your thing.
