Anyway has anyone else been paying attention to the HUGE debacle going on around this movie?

Apparently Paramount Pictures test screened this movie for audiences and it received the LOWEST audience test scores in the history of Paramount. So, they promptly fired the director, locked him out of the editing room, and hired an editor known as a "fixer" in the industry to save the film. Sounds like this is going to be one "special" hack job of a movie. I almost wanna see this now just to see how the hell you make a worse movie than all the bad shit Hollywood already churns out.

I saw the trailer before i even heard about this shit and I honestly have no idea how this movie has anything to do with the GI Joe I remember. It looks like a bunch of dudes in robot costumes doing kung fu flips. More like Robocop than anything else.

Anybody else see this piece of shit trailer? Brought to you by the director that gave us FUCKING Van Helsing. Can a movie actually get worse than Van Helsing? I guess so....

Nope, I've been waiting patiently for Cormac McCarthy's The Road to come out. It kept being pushed back but I think a release date is finally set for mid- October. I'm betting this will be one of the bbest movies of the year, John Hillcoat directing, who did the Proposition (written by Nick Cave). Can't wait.

Also, Blood Meridian is in production but they haven't named who's playing who. To anybody who read Blood Meridian, who do think should play the Judge? I was thinking John Malchovich but I dunno....he might just weird it all out. And the judge certainly is that, but he;s also charming and silver toungued. I just don't see how this one is gonna be pulled off. The emotional complexity of 3 and four characters at a time will be tough. And the desert and other harsh lands were so well described, the description's themselves were like a character. Blood Meridian, to me, was a very hard read. I had three false starts. Then I couldn't put it down. That creepy asssed judge will haunt you.

Sorry for being so off topic. I didn't discuss G.I. Joe, but I got a friend who cannot wait to go see it.

I'm not even a GI Joe fan. I had no intentions of even seeing the movie. I just love a good "behind the scenes" disaster. E True Hollywood Story here we come!

I am totally gonna torrent that shit.

Remember the GI Joe PSA's? You know, the short stories at the end teaching morals and crap? I don't know if anyone saw this, but there are some hilarious re-makes where the voices are overdubbed and its fucking HIGHlarious...

EDIT: I love movie behind the scenes dramz. Sounds interesting, Stringy...
