Why is Kadian so much better than MS-Contin?

I mean, seriously? I just used the crisping method, same as I would with ms-contins, and mg for mg the kadians i just got have got me FUCKED up, like, 10x more than ms-contins would at the same mg dosage. Is there just something that makes it easier to break down into a shot or what's the deal, I don't understand, lol.

There are a whole bunch of potential issues - not least of which is the brandname/manufacturer: different manufacturers use different binding materials in their capsules/tablets, and different capsule/tablet sizes: depending on the manufacturer you find that some tabs/capsules will break down/dissolve more easily, and release their active ingredient faster, when used in other way than the tab/capsule is designed to be used.

MS Contin has to be one of the toughest tab's to deal with when it comes to seperating the MO from the binding agent - pretty much most other tab's/capsules release their active ingredient quicker.

I don't shoot my morphine...I am prescribed MS Contin and take it orally (whole, not crushed). I only crush it when I am taking a recreational dose, not a pain management dose, and that's only about 3 times a month. I have had Kadian before, but switched back to MS Contin because it didn't work any better. It did last longer (about 16 hours instead of the 9 or 10 hours for MS Contin) but that's it. I'm prescribed MS Contin once every eight hours, and it works well for my pain.

Shooting it, I can definitely see why Kadian might work better. A lot less crap in those little balls than that huge tablet of wax.

For people who take the pills as directed (i.e., orally, without crushing), I've heard a lot of people say that they think Kadian sucks for pain control in comparison to other oral morphine formulations.

Now, for getting high, I personally LOVED Kadian. It's so easy: you just put the little white balls in a pill crusher, crush, add your water, throw in a cotton, filter and enjoy. Very very simple. I think the reason you're liking the Kadian better than MS-Contin is because there isn't the problem with the wax. Even if you crisp, you're still going to loose some of the morphine in the process by the prep itself. The prep for Kadian is just much simpler. You don't loose as much.

Kadians are so much easier to deal with than cook-ups. Just crush and go and around here there's great availability. To me cook-ups are a jello gamble. Good luck, enjoy.
