i know this is a caring group of folks, and in the past it was asked to post when a member was was going to be gone for a wee bit.

There are a few of ya i chat wit here and there and I thought it would be nice to put some notice out there... I will be away for a week or so... In the hospital or a DHE treatment for migraines. No biggy, more a technicality then anything. I am hoping the hospital offers a wireless connection, but I have my doubts. I can never sleep in neurosciences... My roomies tend to talk to the imaginary people living in the bathroom. (very sad actually)

Should be a week long stay... and is suppose to abort the pain for seven months (in a perfect world)

peace:D

I will be slowing going nuts in my hospital bed, with an alkloid ergot being pumped in my veins three times a day (oh joy)

Thanks Antigone for giving us advance warning so nobody worries unnecessarily. Hope things go well for you during the treatment and that it actually works. Good luck we'll be thinking of you.

hey, thanks alot -- I am waiting on my bed now...

To answer your question DD, Yes this ay be the end of my pain managament - - just when they increased my OC dose... but if it does not work, then it is the path to perscribtion morphine (injectable), for my breakthrough pain... as my tolerance has become so high, that others meds like OC dont work for breakthrough. momma h and crushed D are the only things that keep me pain free as of late.

so, tic toc... waiting for bed access to call... i guess i should pack

First of all, best of luck. Being sick, sucks. Plain and simple.

Second of all, I can't pass up any opportunity to throw up a gigantic :finger4u: to the DEA for being such nazis and making sure that people in real, serious pain have to jump through hoops to get relief for pain. Sure, need a nose job or your tits made bigger, no problem but suffer from pain that words can't describe... tough shit! I think a second :finger4u: should go out to the AMA for not having the balls to stand up to the government and follow their Hippocratic oath. I have read many posts on this site, including yours, from people who live in the 9th circle of hell on a daily basis because of their pain and how much chit they have to go through to be treated and it just breaks my heart and makes me mad too, so ... sorry for the rant.

Take care and hopefully, this will offer you some relief. :)

Don't let the doctors give you morphine for BT pain if you're on Oxycodone.....the morphine will only work about 40% as well as it should because the Oxy will block the receptors!
