THC/MARINOL

okay,who remembers in the late 70's they came around with a shitload of THC: tetrahydrocannabinol
there was green yellow blue round tablets representing different strengths and such. i remember that shit causing me to actually trip, to me it was heroin holy crap.but in actuality it is the inner active ingredient of pot marijuana grass etc. now they got marinol that the doctors can prescribe for cancer patients and eye surgery patients.
what i want to know is doe's anybody remember when that shit came around "THC" it was around for only a year or so. supposedly it was made for a special government study kinda like till it was given to us people for us people. it was a couple a dollars a hit

A good friend of mine got marinol scripted to him for HIV, he said they sucked he had to take like 8 to 10 of them to even feel a buzz. They didn't give him an appitite either which is why he was told it was good to smoke pot so he gave marinol the old college try and said don't waste your $$$. I heard that some of them THC pills were PCP talk about a trip.

I don't think they started making THC pills until the 90s... I've heard of PCP or other drugs being sold as THC back in the 70s and stuff, but I don't know where pure THC would have come from then.

nonono please reread the above,this had nothing to do with marinol. but i'm tellin ya's it was 1975-76 freshman in high school ....get it "HIGH" SCHOOL.
anyway there was pharmacuetical thc that supposedly manufactured for the govt or outside country i dont fucking know fer sure. but i do know that they was all different colors and were stamped like valiums representing different strengths. and i should kinda be right cause i was pitching em .i had bags of one hudred each kind .but look how long ago that was ...i mean cmon that was just the beginning of my career it was only a couple a years before that that i first tried chewing on pot seeds

i dont think that was THC dawg. i dont know it mightve been, but the whole reason that Marinol barely works to give you a buzz is because THC is not the only active chemical in marijuana. you can take as much synthetic and isolaetd THC as you want, but your never gonna get anywhere close to that time you smoked 4 bowls of that dank nugget after school and ended up at a crackhouse 30 miles away, wondering why the fuck you were there.

cannabis contains over 120 active compounds, dozens of which are responsible for its therapeutic effects and its "high." isolating just one, as in Marinol, Dronabinol, etc just doesn't work. even adding CBD and CBN to the THC, as in Sativex Spray, is a far cry from the real thing.

THC alone feels AWFUL.

Not to mention if they weren't some sort of gelcap they definitely weren't THC as it is only possible to be put into pill form by suspending the THC in oil.

Actually I like marinol. I smoke lots of good cannabis with a personal high tolerance yet still with 10-20 mg of marinol and I coast nicely after about an hour or so. I would like to see a full spectrum cannabinoid product out. Or even better a multitude of choices where one could choose the perfect cbd-cbn-thc-etc ratio best suited to their needs.
