Anyone else seen these? They're round and bright pink 30mg forget the imprint. Are these new generics made by Barr? Have been taking Adderall for almost a decade and have only seen these once a couple months ago. Not bad in terms of effect and they rail up nice.. just wondering what the story is behind them..

As a matter of fact I just picked a couple of these up last night...

yes, these are the new generics...

and yes they aren't bad in terms of effect, and they do rail up nicely, as you said.

I'd say you answered your own question.

yep they are new (well been around over a year now) generic. I like them ok but still prefer the orange ones:) I like the way they taste and dissolve quickly under the tongue.

I believe pink adderall ir generics are made by corepharma. I hear that they're generally considered not as good as barr generic adderall ir. This was for therapeutic use though, so since in therapeutic use the pill is taken untampered, it could be that corepharma simply uses crappier binders and fillers that don't break down reliably and quickly.

I've actually never taken Adderall IR. The times I've done Adderall, it's always been 20 mg Adderall XR brand name. Those beads were a pain in the ass to crush, but I got good at doing it (the bottom of a shot glass works VERY well, as does the bottom of a benzedrex inhaler [kind of ironic] ... just have to keep the beads confined in a ceramic dish so they don't scatter).

I think Adderall XR goes off patent this year though ... it may have already happened (I've heard talk about there being generic adderall xr now). That explains why Shire synthed up lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) and started marketing it heavily after fda approval last year ... they were gonna loose their adderall xr exclusivity. 'Course shire wanted lisdexamfetamine to get CIII, but the DEA came down on it with a CII ... disappointed Shire, parents who hate the inconvenience of no refills, adults with add who hate the inconvenience, and speed heads with Rxs for adhd (real or fake) ... dissapointed all of the above very much. CIII doesn't spook docs / pharmacies the way CII does .... the dea watches CII script activity way more heavily than less restrictive schedules.

No psychostimulant that is highly effective for adhd is gonna ever get CIII because both effectiveness in treating ADHD and effectiveness in getting you a euphoric high are tied to dopaminergic selectivity and potency as a DA releaser or DRI. Most likely.
