Some people say that smoking resin will get you high, while others say that its good for nothing.

So whats the verdict? When you are out of weed, and you scrape your bowl, will smoking that get you high?

I've got 3 buddies behind me arguing about this as we speak, and I now you guys know your shit, so I figured I would pop the question here.

I know I've got high plenty of times off of resin...

The guy that says that you don't get high, and its 'placebo', isn't much of a stoner to begin with, and his only argument is that resin doesn't contain thc because it has all been burnt up when you smoked the weed and it turned to ash...what thc you didn't consume (inhale) was torched...

guess it could make sense, but like i said, i know ive got stoned a ton off resin...hell in my teens I lived off resin...

I have smoked the "resin" out of many bowls and my opinion is if you scrape the bowl itself( i mean where you put the actual herbs you can get some pretty damn good shit. i think its close to some of the hash i have had, in actually getting the job done! But the resin you get from inside a little glass peace is usually all runny and shit and not worth the effort in my opinion!

I mean if you smoke say a couple of bags of some decent nuggz there will be some weed and some half burn weed caked on the sides of the piece. Don't scrape real hard as you don't want to break your peice or your buddies:argue:.. but there will be some shit that scrapes off in nice chunks!

Resin, whether it be the residue of meth in a nine-ball, the residue of heroin or fent from straws, crack from stems, etc, all those get burnt or vaped too, yet smoking their residue is a very common practice that gets me (and lots of other users) personally high as fuck.

Ok first of all, yes, of course it will get you high, but its a much different high than smoking greens, its very short lived, and causes all my friends to get headaches (not me, i smoke the shit at least 2x a week when i run out early before i can reup the next day ill blaze the resin in only the bowl of my pipe as it seems to have more plant matter than the greasy ass black death on the inside. and the resin is actually a good percentage of residue from the lighter combining with tar from the plant matter being volatized.

It gets you high but its nasty. I can't remember the last time I puffed resin. I used to smoke the shit out of it though.

You know, I did this just the other day and almost made a thread about it to find out everybody's opinion. I noticed a little 'head change' but it was a small piece of resin, scraped out of a new glass pipe, so only a little BB sized piece.

I've known people to break their glass piece that had like an a half inch of gooey resin.

I used to be a daily habitual smoker for 3+ years and many many many times resorted to smoking resin. Not short lived in my mind. But headaches galore.

Ive lived off resin before for days even a week. Resin isn't that bad. It can be a little foul tasting, and also a little messy to handle, but if I had nothing esle to smoke, I wouln't turn my nose at it.

i've been smoking resin when times were tough all my life...it def gets ME high. actually i had never heard of resin NOT getting someone high till the internet...lol.

As a youngin' I def. smoked more than the fair share of resin. And without a doubt it gets you high.
As I got older I saw no point in smoking it. I'd rather just go without. This was around the same time I gave up the bongs/pipes/etc. and turned to papers and rarely the blunt wrap(tobacco has never done me right)
No point in carrying around incriminating evidence that smells god-awful, and that also means nothing to scrape for resin.
Also I did notice a difference in the quality of high depending on where the resin was from; bowl or "chamber" and from kind or schwag.
