Any advantage to dissolve under the tongue vs just plain necking 'em down?

Almost seems to hit me a bit harder when I dissolve a couple under the tongue w/ my subs.....

Thoughts?

I always do this with Klonopins. I read it somewhere (guess where...) and I think I can feel them come on faster and harder that way.

Anybody wanna' make a joke about that...

What's to joke about. You think they come (on) faster and harder when you swish it around under your tongue rather than down your throat. Nothing funny about that.:D

I have trouble even swallowing benzos due to their taste ... I almost gag ... do you guys still taste them when going sublingual and if so, how to avoid the bitterness?

Benzo's don't taste too much chipper. I have always found that they are mostly tasteless fillers but I do know that the taste is pretty bad when you taste it. I guess you can put them in a capsule if it is a problem.

i only do this when i wake up in the middle of the night i put one 2mgs under my tongue and sometime im out before it dissolves. during the day i just take them normal.. (i snort them cuz their kinda minty an taste like candy no just kidding) but seriously chew em or sucking on them hit me faster in my case.

I've only had oral diazepam, but I take clonazepam under the tongue all the time. Actually, I almost exclusively take it that way. Klonopin tastes GOOD unlike the vast majority of other drugs. It's minty-ish. It's great to feel the benzo buzz kick in as the minty freshness fills your mouth.

While I didn't use diazepam sublingual, I usually get a slight taste of any pill I take orally, and I don't remember it tasting bad. Bromazepam didn't have a bad taste either. Alprazolam is nasty ... using those sublingual would be serious taste bud abuse (not as bad as benzedrex cotton rod though... NOTHING is more disgusting than that thing).

All morphine like opioids taste bitter to me. Not bad, just bitter.
