I know that the majority of the board is getting incredibly tired of all the folks newer to the phile who often login and post the same q's, ignore the rules, etc. Frustrating and sometime hard not to lash out at.

I'd respectfully ask that everyone do their best to exercise a little patience when viewing these new users and their posts. Many of our newer members are not only new the forum, but new to the internet or even computers in general. Logging in for the first time can be overwhelming, as I'm sure some of you can relate.

We've all made the mistake at one time or another of making a public ass out of ourselves so let's do our best to remain in an understanding of this and help out those around us who prepare to possibly do the same.

One important aspect of Opiophile.org to us personally is that we not become an elitist group of individuals who earn the reputation of driving others away simply because they're new. In order to help out with this, we've come up with:

A new forum 'I Be New Here (http://forum.opiophile.org/forumdisplay.php?f=116)', where newb posts can be moved to and then moved again, accompanied by a redirect to indicate where they should've been in the first place. A great place for not only new users to post, but to view where posts should be made.
A Private Message which will auto-generate out to each new user, leaving some basic instructions on where to go and what to look at first. Rules (http://forum.opiophile.org/showthread.php?p=146), this message, forum etiquette (http://forum.opiophile.org/showthread.php?t=2438), etc.
Two new mods (soon to come) who will assist in moving items around and separating the newb posts from those posts truly and simply just plain stupid. So all we ask in return is to play nice and do your best to remain patient with our newer members until we get things ironed out. Help us help them by pointing them in the right direction with a little hand-holding, notifying myself or a mod of a post that doesn't belong (by using the 'report post' link), or just by holding back from giving them a beating that they may very well deserve...

Thanks in advance for your patience and cooperation,
