I had Humana & now have Vista so I can't answer from experience but I would say to keep trying UH website or try calling for more specific info. Maybe you could try asking the pharmacy staff where you normally get your scripts filled, they deal w/ insurance all day long. Good luck!

Yes, UHC will cover both drugs with a pre/prior auth - I get 60# ER's and 90# IR's - if you ever find out the quantity limit, let me know.

I've come across quantity limits with my fentora before. The pharm would only fill 120 a month until I got the doc to write "chronic intractable pain" on each script. Now I get xxxx 600 and xxxx 800 a month. Talk to ur doc bout writing that on ur script if ur insurance breaks ur stones

I don't have your insurance, so this is only a guess. But since Opana ER is designed to be a twice daily medication, the monthly limit would probably be 60 pills.
Calling your insurance company and asking for information would be your best bet.

Like brony said, your best bet is to call your insurance company and get the information straight from the horse's mouth.
My insurance will pay for up to 90 Opana ER, OxyContin, MS Contin, and similar '12-hour' medications without preauthorization. More than 90 requires the doctor to submit a notice stating that a higher amount is medically necessary. Other insurance companies may only allow a maximum of 60, and still others may require preauthorization for any amount.

Since most insurance plans have a supply limit for OC, (every insurance carrier ive seen has the limit set at 4 80mg a day) and OC is supposed to last 12 hours, Im hoping that the Opana er's are the same. Also, UHC says that they do cover Fentora but you have to get Pre-Auth. Im thinking that you have to have cancer for them to fill it. IT doesnt kick in til June, so, Ill get one more month of my regular, so by then, ill have my cards ect so when I do call them, they can give me a straight answer.
Thanks for the responses. One of the above posts intigued me, with the Fentora, you dont happened to have UHC do you? and if so, do you have cancer? It would be awesome to get back on the ole Fentora bandwagon.
Thanks again
