Has anyone else noticed the recent string of freakouts related to DO* compounds.I've read over 4 cases this week.Three were from very large doses of DOC and one other was from 5mg of what was beleived to be DOM or DOB.I would think that users would know the correct doses for these compounds and not be trying to estamate between 1 and 6mg.I think DOC, DON, psi-DOM, DOM-fly, DOPR, DOEF,and DOI will soon be scheduled along with DOM, DOB, and DOET.I still don't understand why they called the hospital.I mean if you take a psychedelic you should ride it out.Your not in any real danger .

All research chems are doomed to be abused and demonized because they are so easy to get when they are not illegal.

I do miss the 2c's so very much.....phenethylamines in general are remarkable chemicals, with so many different and remarkable possibilities, which are doomed to be marginalized by science because of their political implications. It's a tragedy, one of so many under the umbrella of Prohibition.
When will we fucking learn that prohibition harms all, and helps none?

True, but some of them remain "research chemicals" for a reason. Some can be fun, but a handful are plenty toxic, and for the most part they're less enjoyable than MDMA, MDA, LSD, or mushrooms. The DO* drugs also tend to last a really long time, and have the potential for toxic overdose. Most of these drugs are a lot more dangerous than their illegal counterparts.

actually mdma is worse for you than most RCs out now a days including DO* compounds.I would really like to see some links to these toxic overdoses your talking about.I'm only aware of people dying from DOB at MASSIVE doses, like doses so big they found 9mg still in the persons nose after death. If you didn't know DOB is highly active at 1mg.Theres commentary on it in the DOB section of pihkal (look on erowid). Also they say the LD50 in mice is between 100-125mg.So in a human it is probably way more, I'm not suggesting anyone take a dose this high.

This one article out of five i have read in the last 2-3 days, regarding 16-17 year old kids anf DOC.......
Parents, don't have enough to worry about? Looks like there's a new drug in town.
At least that was the case last week, when Troy officers investigated an incident involving a drug called "DOC." It began May 24, when Bloomfield Township police officers reported a 17-year-old girl from their town was taken to the hospital for a possible drug overdose. She reportedly had been at a house on Malvern in Troy where she claimed she took the drugs. Officers responded to the home, where the 19-year-old man who lived at the home refused them entry.
While speaking with the 19-year-old, officers learned three other individuals within the home were experiencing reactions to the same substance. An 18-year-old man from Bloomfield Hills was seen walking into the walls, dazed and completely naked. He was brought to the door and taken to the hospital. Two other men from Bloomfield Township, 18 and 19 respectively, that also reportedly ingested the substance, were disoriented and dazed. They also were brought out and taken to the hospital.
The three men were evaluated and later released. The parents returned home after the three men were transported; they had been contacted by cell phone by the 19-year-old. They initially declined officers' access to the residence, but eventually consented.
Officers found a teen boy from another city inside the home. Investigation revealed he purchased a drug called "DOC" in crystalline form, and based on information he obtained from a Web site, mixed it into a liquid and soaked art paper with the solution. (some fake lsd anyone) He cut it into pieces and was selling and giving it away at the party.
Officers didn't find the drug during their search, but located marijuana residue and paraphernalia consistent with its use and suspect it may have been being used; however, it was disposed of prior to officers' entry. DOC is a newer psychedelic street drug and is a combination of hallucinogenic and amphetamine. Apparently it is touted as providing a "24-hour high."

Actually it's (DOC) not that new of a drug. I believe that the majority of the DOX series of Phenethylamines were synthesized by the late 60's early 70's and have sporatically popped up here and there throughout the recent history of psychedelic uses. Often-times, when these drugs do make it onto the black market, there is documentation as an active dose can take upto an hour and a half for effects to be felt and most pyschonaughts are used to feeling threshold effects within 30 - 45 min so when that time comes and there is no noticable effects noticable they pop another pill (which more times than not already has a whopping dose saturated in it) and end up taking like 3 - 4 times the recommended maximum dosage and being that these drugs can last upto 24 hours or more and generally longer as the dose increases the poor sap that is trapped in this bum trip, in which minutes are hours, feels that he may have permanently fucked himself up and checks himself into a hospital.

DOM, DOB
I've always been interested in trying this. I've heard from some people who used to do/sell STP back in the 60s or 70s and it sounds like some fun stuff. psychedelic speed. a batch of some tablets contained an overdose of it and so some people had anxiety attacks because it lasted for days.

DOI is the money Phenethylamine in this class of psychostimulants, next being DOB... they are the Amphetamine analogs of 2C-I and 2C-B (some of the most sought after chemicals in the 2C-X series). Potency, for both weight and effects, is higher going from 2C-B/DOB to 2C-I/DOI because of the mole weight is heavier with the Iodine than the Bromine atoms (which are directly located ontop/below each other in the periodic table)... the effects to be had with both are pretty much the same, just one being stronger than the other. As for DOM, I have little practical knoweledge on this compound, but I assume that all the stellar trip reports attributed to it are due to it's availability compared to the other chemicals in the series... get a bunch of media coverage of the "summer of love" experiences (which are not lacking) and every clandestine psychedelic chemist wants to whip up a batch.
