Here's a thought: if you stick a sub-lingual bup pill (or two) up your ass will it be better absorbed and more effective? I ask because it's not meant to be very efficient sub-lingually, from what I've read.

Not sure what the difference would be between sublingual and 'your method':uhhohh: , but I imagine with the latter, you'd be getting a 2mg dose of naloxone, rather than any bup at all. (you could always take it out and put it back under your tongue, though...?)

Subutex at least works very well rectally, I usually mix 4-8 mg with water in a needlefree syringe, without heating. Add some lube and squirt it up, it works just as well as sublingual if not better, but it'd be my third preferred method of administration after intravenous and nasally. Lasts longer though.

Oh sure, I'm a fan of rectal administration of opiates, morphine hcl and buprenorphine especially, since they have a much higher bio availability that way and come on faster. I'm trying to get off needles so it's the next best...well, bup works nicely both nasally and sublingual, but I've come to like the ritual of achieving anal bliss.

I really cant tell a difference in absorbsion rates between rectal and nasal dosing. Granted I never nasal dose over 2-4 mgs [to much powder] and I only rectal dose in exteme emergencies when I cant wait the 1.5 hours for the sublingual delivery to start nor the 45 minutes for the nasal route, rectal comes on the quickest for me.

I have been thinking lately though that it might be possible for the Naloxone in the Suboxone pills 'might' read: might be active in high rectal doses <32mg+. I never bothered when I was on higher doses.

I tried this up your butt thing and have a few questions...I tied a belt around my waist like a tourniquet to get my hole to pucker but since I couldn't see my ass (I tried the mirror and that was just scary trying to look under my legs and hold a needle steady) I just went ahead and stuck the needle in, let me just say at this point that I don't recommend this. After a few stabs I think I found a vein because I was bleeding pretty well so I went ahead and shot it. Now to my questions: My ass is pretty sore, is this normal? The Buprenorphine didn't hit as hard as I thought it should, does that mean I missed the vein? For all the draw backs of this method, like cleaning the area with an alcohol soaked cotton swab ....OUCH! :speechles , is it really worth it? And how do you get the swelling to go down? it might be asorbed better via the "brown" method. I have never had suboxone and doubt I would try using it this way either.

It would be great to find a way of getting it up your ass if a needle isnt available, i have syringes with needles from the past. But none without needles and i cant see needle exchanges doing them. I might try one of those dropper things you get with bottles of herbal extracts like milk thistle ?

I have used bupe under the tongue, snorted, rectal, IM and IV. Just call me an experimental nut job.

Rectal dosing is the most effective [crushed and injected with a needle-less rig]. Nasal dosing comes in a close second but IMO is only really effective when taking doses in the 1-3mg range as the volume of powder starts to work against you. Than comes sublingual. Of course IV would rank first but I only have access to Suboxone not Subutex or Bupernex.

I dont have the actual bio-availability %'s in my head at this moment but if anybody wants them I can post them up...

Yeah absaloutley, someone was going to be helping me out lol, but i think il need to take a trip to my local pharmacy and see if they have needle free syringes. I did try that dropper i had, and it worked just later on that day (about six hours later) it all came out in the pan. I didnt have a shite as such as i was constipated but yeah it came out as water. But hey it was an experiance i can say that much.

Diffrence is most on this thread are using bup i was just trying out some benzos !

Can Subtex be injected IV? As far as anal drugs... sublingual works better for me for some reason. If I crush up Oxycontin into powder and do da butt thing, Snort it or under my toungue. Snorting it wastes my passages after a while, Sublingual seems to work. Taking it up the butt just doesnt seem to work as well as those others. Since ya cant IV it anymore (which I would prefer) I did try other ways. But Can ya IV subutex? Not suboxone but the other? I have some and wonder if I should give it a try? Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend it, it's the fastest way to collapsed veins I ever found. The risk to payoff ratio is just not worth it.
