looking into a canadian scheduled drug resource...and noticed some compounds that while family members of certian controlled substances, are not specifically considered controlled at the level of the similiar compound...

one is levallorphan.....counteracts morphines respitory depression effect, without affecting analgesia of the morphine...is is reported to have certian agonist effects.

then a real cool and interesting compound is cyclazocine..relative of pentazocine..

this drug is a mixed agonist antagonist, more potent that morphine reportedly in some respects, but also a kappa opioid agonist that can cause some side effects that lessen with use....the compound is also reported to have hallucinogenic effects. analogs of cyclazocine have been found to be actually more potent than PCP, and are nmda antagonists, that might have some beneficial effect on opiate tolerance.

Cyclazocine is about as psychedelic as Datura and even less fun. Mind-Opening definitely isn't the word to describe it.

Hallucinogenic? Yeah, but mildly. It's no fuckin fun at all. It was given to addicts in the 50s and 60s in this country to keep them from using. It worked, but it had too many side effects- no one would take it.

Levallorphan is definitely an antagonist. It's not often used today for rescue antagonism because narcan simply works better. Especially when it comes to very young children because it can add to the respiratory depression in the long term (for those who've OD's on long acting opioids like methadone).

Neither of these are going to be an enjoyable opiate to substitute anything. I've had them both and hated them. Really hated Cyclazocine which I bought to test what you said. The Levallorphan was injected when my fiance thought I OD'd (I was sleeping). Who would think to shake me first?

hey that is some great first hand info!!
thanks.
I would still like to give em a test or two...

indian snakeroot wasnt very "fun" either, actually it was like crawling out of a hole for 3 days after I drank about a gram in tea, didnt realize reserpine was quite that potent.

there is another anti-tussive in canada I think that has some nmda activity, but the name escapes me right now......

nmda activity in certian compounds can cause some real interesting augmentations on a person opiate/opioid habit as far as tolerance is concerned. one day you are making ends meet topping out your dose, and the next you are euphoric, the love is everywhere, and you might be given to singing in public.
or, like hammilton states, not so fun.
maybe some analog work will finetune certian effects, if the compound is relatively easy to get that is.

thanks hammilton
