Please help w/ some Tussionex dosing math...

Goddammit. I UTFSE, but I cannot get a definitive answer on how the time release actually works. I went on a fucking bender last night, snorted a buncha shit (which I never do), and I really need to 'sleep' later on...

...so I have approximately 60ml of Tussionex. I do understand that there is 10mg Hydrocodone in each tsp (5ml)...and some other shit, anithistamine that I really don't care about as long as it won't kill me.

Anyway, somebody please check my spun out math:

10mg Hydro per 5ml, so 30ml = 60mg Hydro...but time released?! WTF...does that mean I'd actually be taking 30mg Hydro, then the Tussionex dumps the other 30mg later (like 6 hours later??)??

Fuck. Somebody here is well versed in the Tuss, I'll bet.

Not well versed specifically in Tussionex, but I'll bet it works the same way as with oxys (For example)
Half get's released now, the other half over 12 hours.

The times I've tried Tussionex, it seemed to be weaker than Hycodan, but lasted longer: In order to get an ehm, 60mg high, I needed to take around 100mg.

I have had some experience with quite a bit of tussionex and in my opinion it is the Rolls Royce of cough syrup, hands down. Anyway, it does say time release but that doesn't mean its going to release half of it when you drink it and half later or somthing, in my experience it releases it all at once but makes it lasts a long time, 12 hours is a bit exaggerated more like 8 depending on the dose and if your sippin it or you just down it all at once. If you want it to thin out, I say go buy soft drink you like, pour it all into it and shake it up real good, this will help it thin out, and then drink it within 15 minutes or so. MY preference is drinking it straight so I don't lose any, and cause it just tastes so damn good!

That antihistamine is dangerous in high doses. Anticholeggeric? Bad for kidneys maybe. If you cough up red shit you took too much. That shit rocks but it makes my belly itch.

Well, thank you all.

I just split what I had in half, and took 30ml last night, then the other 30ml this morning.

That shit is great. My regular hydro dose is 40-50mg, and the dose(s) of Tussionex that I took got me a helluva buzz...I know that particular antihistamine can be dangerous, but honestly, I had zero side effects - if anything, it added to the hydro buzz. And yeah, it only lasted about 8 hours, tops ;)

Good stuff.

The antihystamine totally enhances the hydro. I actually bought some of that clortrimaton over the counter to mix with my hydro after I discovered tussionex. SWIM always told his doctor that he couldn't take codeine b/c it hurts his stomach and couldn't take the stimulants in cough syrups b/c of taccacardia that it causes and always suggested the doctor rx him tussionex.

Back before harm reduction, used to drink that shit 4 oz at a time and I ain't dead yet. Then again, I gobbled hydros by the bottle back then too. Good for me? No. Smart? Hell no, but I didn't know it at the time. Dead? *checks* nope, not dead either

haha.. met too. But i did used to cough up brownish redish shit when I took too much tussionex. That scared the shit out of me. And my belly would go numb which was sort of scary. But I'm ok and my liver is ok.

I remember drinking a SHITLOAD one night and blacking out, only time I have ever blacked out on an opiate, I was probably breathing about 5 times a minute, scared me enough to never indulge like that again, syrup is SOO easy to over do, be careful folks.
